me too..

Btw, have anyone experience a screeching sound coming from the tyre. Recently, I kept hearing like a screeching sound lke two metal scratching each other frommy front left tyre keep .... but after a while the sound dissappear... and after stopping for a moment, the sound re-appear again.... I haven't went to the service center yet as I was waiting for my 10k service....
*
i too experienced what u have said. mine was on the front right side of the tyre area. Its like a sharp thing is touching the disc brake when the car is moving hence the sharp screeching sound. brought my car to jalan ampang service center and the personnel told me that its due to dust and small stones got stuck between rotors or something. vague explanation they gave but told me not to worry as they have serviced and clean it. after 2 weeks of driving, the sound is no where to be heard. maybe u guys can go to jalan ampang SC and try to diagnose it. smile.gif

Everytime i step foot into PJ Mazda SC (infront of federal highway), I will at least spend 3 to 4 hours there. No matter it is normal service or checking or whatsoever. They do things really slow there and under staff. Once i asked about the Mazda 3 auto leveling function whether working or not they say no such thing on the car. It clearly does and even stated in the specs. The desk officer had no idea what i was talking about. So i went out to the showroom to ask one of the Sales adviser, he had no clue on what's the auto leveling function as well, he went to ask his colleague and came out arrogantly saying the auto leveling function only works when there's heavy load on the car. when the car is lowered due to weights, the lights will level up. I gave him the "are you kiddin me" look. Before i could say anything, he ignored me and went to greet his friend. So I went to the service station at the back and told one of their staff there whether they know about the auto leveling and he too had no idea what it was and some say the Mazda 3 had no such thing.

After the service been done that took at least 4 hours, they finally got a clue on how to check the auto leveling. they did some wiring stuff and start to jack up the car from the front wheels to show me the movement of the light.

Conclusion.. Bermaz still got tonnes and tonnes of experiences to learn from Toyota and Honda in terms of after sales service and general knowledge.

Lots of my friends gave up buying Mazda is because of the bad reputation in after sales.
*
Agree on the slow service... 3-4 hours at least... I went there 3 three times for service already.... all the time also need to wait around 3-4 hours.... sweat.gif

You need to ask what do u want from the new player? Because when u upgrade HU u are upgrading
For better features, or u r upgrading for better sound, IMO these 2 obj don't cross.

If u want the bigger screen with a better feel of integrated look, and power pack features like inbuilt GPS,
I reckon u can get the gps powered player designed for m3 from GS and on top of it it will not spoilt the warranty too.
This player has lots of nice features but not the sound quality.

Alternatively if u are looking for sound quality improvement (aka ice), then this is the different path to go,
U can start with the player and to expand later with component speaker and amplifier upgrade.
The max budget u allocate can use to source for a good 2din player (ie alpine w520 or used w502), but u will need facia adaptor And steering control kit to complete the head unit upgrade.
this path gives u the option to a good player with good sound that also support for reverse camera, iPod, and gps as optional. Those optional may cost extra $$$ and probably not worth the bucks (esp gps module).

My priority is sound quality so I had chosen the latter path, replaced the caska player with alpine w502, never regretted.. biggrin.gif

I got my w502 for slightly more than 2k and those facia kit and adaptor i sourced it myself online. Thus all less than 3k excl installation cost. It plays audio and dvd movie very nicely and certainly add values to my daily driving pleasure. The HU supports extra features like phone, Bluetooth, reverse camera, gps but requires add on components to get it work.

Never tried the Bluetooth and was thinking of adding gps in earlier but turning off with the price quoted, it is way cheaper to get a standalone garmin or Papago.

i own one.. town drive, i would say, its FC (fuel consumption) is quite high but i cant be sure too coz mine still new, done about 1200km only. FC is about 12litre/100km. but at highway is much better, 9litre/100km (just went kl this week, from johor). for a 1.6cc car... i would say it's underpower for its size/weight. i have driven 1.8turbo. I miss my G force... hahaha.. but M3 is a verrrrry good handling car. can take very good corners. ppl say NVH (noise, vibration, handling) is good for M3.

HB has a very nice design (exterior/interior wise).. ppl go staring at your when you go by, pass them.

Ooo nice car! I might get this color as well or maybe white.. wink.gif is it bcoz of the weight n 1.6cc that cause the car to have such high FC? I don't mind much bout power since I'm a lady driver but if possible I don't want too high FC due to the car being underpowered.. Yes I totally agree with u bout the superrrrbbb handling!! rclxms.gif I've test drove one but I just needed to know if the FC is too high or still quite considerable.. biggrin.gif how much for a full tank n how long will it last for city driving?

I have been driving my Mazda 3 for the past 5 months and has hit around 13800km. I'll share my bits of experience with the car.. Good and bad no bias and one sided. Lets talk about the driving first. I would say I love the acceleration and power of this car. One thing tho is the. Switching of gear from 1 to 2 that take abit of time to switch.. Feels as tho its hesitating.. Acceleration is quite powerful but when u floor it u will feel a moment of "emptiness" before the power kicks in. The change of gears are smooth and excellent from 2 to 5. U can barely feel the change of gear as it was so smooth thus u don't feel abit of jerky. This car handles pretty well tru corner and the chairs holds your body firmly to it when making corners.. I traveled above 140km/h the car still feels stable altho the steering starts to be a little jerky but the ride was still good and stable and it's pretty darn well doing 140 above.

Steering is kinda heavy even at low speed but that's not an issue for me. The brakes are superb.. Responsive and tight.. I feel safe with the brakes, we feel connected. Tho the ride can be a little bumpy, I can feel the rocks and holes on the road tru my feet and but.. Road noise.. Well... Its kinda noisy.. Depending on the condition of the road too.. On some stretch, the noise level was so high I had to turn my radio so loud to drown the road noise.

Lets talk about the interior. The moment I got the car at the showroom I already found 3 lose fittings. One is the silver trim infront of the passenger side.. It was not clipped properly and I have push it back in.. The second is the rubber lining that closes the door it was not inserted properly. The third is the silver panel at the side of the door.. Same case.. Not clipped properly. I didn't opt for the lcd screen and am using the normal radio set (which I still find the design so beautiful), anyways.. They got good speakers but I guess the set didn't fully utilise the sound system. The radio reception is kinda bad.. The sound for radio is so soft and sometimes u hear abit of sandy sound to it.

5 months I have been driving the Mazda 3 and I can tell u. The car is amazing... Although some minor minor problems like lose fittings all in all the car is fine and good to drive. If you put away bumpy and road noise.. The car is excellent.. Exterior is handsome and eye catching with good design and a head turner. Tho the interior can be a little tight and small for passengers... But anyway I don't carry many ppl except my partner.. So its not a problem to me.

Conclusion. I am very happy with this car and I hope he can go tru with me without any major problems thru the years.. This is what I'm hoping for..

Sorry for the long post.. XD
