Mb so far I haven drive a car that so low low fc...... Fc never bother me, just felt that proton did a good job on this car. But bear in mind for those who want to purchase flx, engine oil is slightly expensive n for me I'm not planning to drive after 4 years as I'm not confident enough this car will serve me good after 4 years .

Exactly. I think that SA want to clear FL punye model than only promote FLX CVT. I asked for a test drive for the CVT and she asked me, "CVT Auto ke manual?" I was like "WTF? Bile mase plak CVT ade manual?"

But on another note, I am undecided between Getrag manual and Punch CVT. Donno which one to choose although I have no complain driving a stick shift during a traffic jam.

definitely manual will be more powerful + more optimum FC than cvt more flx model

Guys, I just went to a Proton Edar showroom today to inquire on FLX CVT. The SA told me Proton is recalling all CVT model to fix a minor problem with the gearbox. So she told me that if I order a CVT variant right now, the delivery will be delayed a little bit.

I was a bit confused because I have never heard of this 'recall' issue. Can anyone confirm?

some members here did see a memo for recall...but i think soon
the delivery delayed abit is ok as long as that prob is resolved...right?

For those u decided on the FLX whether to take CVT or Manual,

My opinion, is CVT is a complex transmission, depending on belting, special CVT oil etc. As you know, even AT is costly to rebuild, what about CVT which up till now usually reserved to high priced cars like Slyphy, Murano etc? Even last time Honda City brought it in, it failed.

So my advice take manual. I bought a FLX Manual Executive. Manual transmission still more reliable.

Hope the CVT can be tahan longer and not like Savy AMT CVT problem and warranty over and only wanna change the whole engine for that cost over Rm20k.
One of my friend is kena this and no money to change the whole and every months still keep going for installment and the car only sleep at carporch ever you sell of also nobody want sad.gif

Do you worry just call to Proton SC and ask about the Savvy AMT failure and they cost you the parts + labour and how much do you wanna to pay?

Sure every car got their weak point smile.gif

Ha ha my Kenari has been charged one time of Auto Transmission GearBox from Japan Recond the cost less than 2K smile.gif

Hi forumer, I'm a FLX owner for 3 weeks.

Regarding Nashraf's issue, I got something to share. This evening I received a call from my SA to send my FLX to any major SC for an inspection on the gearbox. He told me they just got a circulation from Proton and the SA were to inform all owners. I don't know about you guys but I guess this should be real as the service is gonna be free(I asked the COE through phone) so no point my SA creating stories and hassles for me to send my car over right? Maybe I'm the first forumer to receive the 'invitation' call, or maybe is my SA too hardworking.. haha.. I got my FLX in one week and that including time for loan processing etc.. rclxms.gif

I'll sending my car over to COE tomorrow and update you all on what is going on exactly. I'm gonna send it for the check, first maintenance as well as rectifying some problems(rear braking problems & some rattles sounds here and there). I managed to get a space by calling in last minute to reserve, initially tomorrow is fully booked so I don't get a chance but since the brake problem is troubling me so I told 'brake tak makan' then straight away they invited me over.. lol rclxm9.gif

Actually I'm very satisfied with flx and there's no reason to complain as of now. Overall is very good, much more comfortable than Lagi Best (i drive lagi best) before this.

For those who wanna know about the fc, it's like RM40 for a full tank (lol, i assume the fuel meter needs some time before it starts to calculate correctly hahaha). It can last me for 5-6 days. I travel about 50km per day and 60% of the time i'm on highway than the rest is congested road. No choice the places I go once I exit major highway I will meet will jam, very jam, climbing up quite some hills and a lot of traffic light.

Sounds bad? Well let's calculate the FC since some of the forumer would like to know, RM40/ RM1.9 = 21 liters of RON95(I'm using Shell, tried once petronas..generally does not feel much of difference so I don't really care about what petrol to pump, important thing is I must enjoy!). So the average fc for 21 liters for (5days x 50km daily = 250) --> 250/21 = 11.9 km/liter. And that is all before my first maintenance. I'm hoping for better performance. smile.gif

Another thing I would like to tell those who are yet to own flx.. I can go around 80+ kmph with 2000rpm, it means quiet engine.. Only road noise especially on federal highway. But this can be overcame by some songs. Well the default HU is doing a good job, I just need some sound, not orchestra on my car so I'm very satisfied already with its performance. thumbup.gif

So those who still wanna know more about FLX or kutuk-kutuk about it, look for me.. I'm ready to defend the brand and... I'm proud to be one of the FLX owner tongue.gif

CVT basically have no problem...same as normal AT
honda city one fail isn't becuz the gear box fail...is that the SC pour the wrong oil into the gear box which result it to fail
thats why u should remember to go SC to service...use CVT oil...not normal oil
