guys, i getting EDGE only with my RAZR in my office where i normally get HSDPA previously with my XT720......could this be a hardware issue on my RAZR?
it should not be setting issue, as i able to get HSDPA at other places.
update: when i select network type as 3G only, then i can get HSDPA, if select automatic, it will always use Edge. a bit strange setting as normally phone is defaulted to select fastest network, but Razr seem like always use lower speed network.....is it for battery saving??
Have you try force 3g only?
Added on November 29, 2011, 11:51 amYa i think so too. My previous Atrix also showing edge in my home only unless force 3g while Defy can get 3g auto. Either the radio signal is weaker on 3g or power saving

If select 3g got full bar? Beside the speed the phone will have minimum level of signal before its change to edge which should have better signal level.

if select 2g only, get 3~4 bar averagely, if 3g 2~3 bar average.
the other day i posted i can't save apn, then i brought to digi centre & claim my software crash/kaput... ask me go back mobile shop to set
wad happen next is.. when i go to the shop, they try to set my apn but failed too.. so they swap my sim into galaxy note (use back the cut-off part) & slot it in... guess wad? it auto detect my internet, mms setting...
so they slot my sim back to my razr... magically all settings is there... weird right?

LoL, seems like a kick at his butt from Sammy does the job well.
Anybody else think the back lighting for the capacitive buttons annoying?
I thought I solved it by installing Keyboard Backlight Controller (need root) but sometimes it still won't light up or it won't shut down.
Anybody have a solution for this? It's driving me nuts.
Is it? i just install the app, and until now seem ok. but i am now too annoy by it, coz already used to it, no need to see also know what and where is the button.
