I tried the "What you'll need;
1. Download DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit from here; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582. I've used the version 1, but I think version 2 should also work........"
Sadly, after the whole process follow exactly what is mentioned, it doesn't worked on my "G" version.

Along the message has message "mount: permission denied <are you root?>", "Unable to chmod...", "failed....". until __cleaning, ___rebooting.

But S2 did not rebooting itself, it just stay as it is.........

I shut down the phone manually, then restat manually with USB connected, after restarted, it show, all Done. But there's no Superuser icon at all, indicating rooting failed!

Any step I have missed, can help? Tq in advance.

Try download superuser app from market and install it. See whether your phone rooted or not.

This is a newest firmware ZQKJ6 for i9100G... Based on the forum... this firmware capped CPU speed at 1.2Ghz instead of 1008Mhz... Kindly flash with Odin...

Finally, have my "G" unit rooted, Yes! However, have some experience to share here:

After fist attempt, as I mention in #665, a lot of "failed", "unable" etc. I tried waveweaver suggestion, install Superuser, success! Strange. Then I install busybox, NO, cannot, bcos it stated no root. More Strange!

Then I re-do the rooting again using version 2, wow, everything goes well without all those "failed, 'unable" messgae, it even rebooting my unit after I hit "any key to continue" which did not happen during the first attempt. Then all busybox, re-boot apk all worked! Proven it is finally rooted.

Simple.

1.copy the framework Res file to ur SD card.  Doesn't matter internal or external.  Its temporary location
2.install root explorer .mount your system as r/w (see top of the root explorer. Got option for r/w or r/o)
3.using root explorer copy the file from above to /system/framework folder
4.there is already a similar file at that folder so you will be prompted to overwrite .click yes.
5.you will get some error that some application like market crashed. Just ignore and keep press your power button to reboot.
6.done

Try it. Its cool

No worries. Glad you can enjoy the transparent screen. But if not mistaken if u choose any other image as lockscreen, you loose the transparency and need to transfer the file again.

The second time did u kill the adb process in task manager? I believe from my experience not killing the adb process the second time helps but haven't get to unroot and retry it.

I did however unroot doomlord from the galaxy tab using his script. It works ok to unroot. I try re root... fail first time.I reboot PC, kill kies and try ...success

dannysee, thanks for the idea of installing superuser app first from android market. the doomlord method is working for me right now, yeay..

let me share my experience :

- trying around for a lot and a lot of times, follow the guide directly from first page and also some suggestion from others.

- install superuser app from android market, run one time and try to check for binary update, but cancelled right away
- just rebooted laptop, kill adb/samsung app related first.
- run doomlord v3 edited as per page 1.
- and it happened smile.gif

nope, i am on KJ2 right now and i think using any cpu app like SetCPU or no-frills cpu, the max value and min value can be adjusted accordingly. even can try the 1.2ghz (ondemand). but if u are using hotplug profile, the max value will be adjusted automatically according wether u are plugging to charger or not, with charger 1.2ghz and without charger 1.0ghz only.

edit : maybe not, somehow the kernel adjusted itself to 1.0 ghz T_T
