After a lot of try and error i can conclude that my MR3420 is the problem here. MR3420 are not compatible with E367 and always hard to make connection stable. Furthermore i notice that MR3420 wont let the speed reach more than 3mb.
This is what i do : -Already upgrade/downgrade the firmware (MR3420). -Test using wifi and direct LAN. -Test E367 direct USB, speed CAN reach more than 5mb but test with MR3420 + E367 at the same place and time speed wont reach more than 2mb even have restart so many time and the connection are hardly to stablelize. -Test MR3420 + E1550 speed wont reach more than 1mb. What should i do to make MR3420 can cooperate well with my E367? MR3420 is faulty product or i still missing something? Help anyone |

mr3020 can join here?
may i ask a question anybody here using mr3420 or mr3020 using maxis skmm? my issues here is when 1st boot router, then connected the router using wifi, there is no internet, because it cant (may i call it forward?/redirect?) to maxis portal to active the internet using laptop win7, understand what i mean? but if i 1st connect it using android with wifi, it will redirect to portal on my phone, so on connected laptop can browse internet OR if im connect the router using cable 1st, it can redirect to maxis portal and can use internet. so the issue here if im connect 1st using wifi , i cant browse/active the internet but if im using maxis postpaid, problem solve hope everyone can understand my english speedtest » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by yeop: Jul 12 2012, 04:25 PM |

i have a few noob questions.
just got my m3420.. now connecting with Maxis @ Huawei E1762.. So far the internet is connected. I didnt change anything much on the setting, just edit the SSID and password. Is that all important? Do i need to change the 192.168.xxx? or just change the login and password is enough? I set the modem to connect automatically... does this mean if the connection got disconnected, it will connect automatically? OR this option is for OFF/ON the modem only? 3G signal strength is 67%.. this means maxis coverage here is 67% right? not the wifi signal? im not sure about the firmware. now it say 3.12.8 Build 110418 Rel.43954n. Is this the latest one? |

Thank you for the answer -Automatically will make the modem connect automatically to the internet. -67% is the maxis coverage achieve from your E176 -Latest firmware click here as for the huawei e1762 modem via maxis.. i always found out the LED indicator staying & show dark blue LED (instead of bright blue = The WCDMA connection is set up.) , as if it is idle... i have to reboot the MR3420 manually. Is there anything i can do about this, so it will reconnect by itself? Because in the setting i already put automatically connect and max idle time is 0. Maybe because it is idle (no connection request) so the router take time to get the connection back.
The max idle time is for manualy connect only. Try use manually connect and set the max idle time to 0 but you have to manually connect everytime you restart/reboot your router. Try idle and see how the router perform. Hope this help. |

Got Off topic Question : I use maxis skmm and if my balance is let say RM20 and my expired date is 2012-07-20 15:47:46. If i top up RM 5, how long does the expired date will extend? Normally RM 5 = 5 days rite? Some says after top up (any amount) the expired will extend to another 50 days. Please someone use maxis skmm explain me this.
