I'm currently using my E1762 with Aztech HW550. Overall it is a good router, nothing to be complained about. Recently got "infected" too much by these guys here, I'll be getting a TP Link MR3420 to place it permanently at my PJ house and this Aztech HW550 will be transported back to PD to be placed there. So, that I don't need to bring it around when I go back PD, saves so much of life. Next time just bring back my E1762.

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Oct 13 2011, 02:39 PM) yea great thinking,. leave teh aztech back home and use TP LINK, ha ha,.. well so far is good for me, as i love the 100% signal from SE plug in,.. work like a charm,. One thing I like about this router is that it accepts almost all types of modems available on the market. Does it require firmware update to accept newer types of modems? I know Aztech does but still I have to wait till Aztech releases a list of compatible modems. Earlier Aztech wasn't even compatible with E1762. Luckily with simple steps to update its firmware, it is compatible now and works charmingly.

QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ Oct 22 2011, 07:08 PM) My boss bought from All IT Lowyat on Monday (1 antenna version) at the price of RM 72. Works well and we even use it at datacenter to transform wired connection to wireless. That's TP-Link MR3220 version. Ya, RM 72 at All IT.

Erm, plan to buy this router to use with my E1762. After started using E1762 with my Aztech HW550-3G, I noticed that it is difficult to get it connected. The blue LED on E1762 keeps blinking non-stop and I can't seem to get it connected. However, when I was using ZTE MF622 such issue did not happen. It got connected easily... For those using this router with E1762, is it difficult to get it connected? Or it takes long time to be connected?

Great that it works well for you. I have observed that speed produced by plug-in does show little slowness compared to going through 3G router.

Just for your information, layr is located at Estonia. So, our support needs to be in general form rather than Malaysialised.

Chuah, please do something to get the router work with Nokia phones. Then I might considering getting a cheapo HSPA Nokia phone to pair with it.

QUOTE(wongsf @ Nov 17 2011, 10:36 AM) I rephrase my question. Can I use the ZTE MR680 modem with the TP Link MR3420 Router. TQ. You see, none of u knows because we don't own that modem. If follow the compatible list on TP-Link's site, clearly shows this modem is not in the list.

QUOTE(miloy2k @ Dec 28 2011, 12:33 PM) I have this issue for my E1762 (not sure why) random disconnection and very slow to reconnect. So for me the fastest way is to reboot the modem (in some cases, I have to power off and on the router). I notice if the line (maxis) is down (due to bad weather/no signal), it will somehow hang my router Currently using my old K3565, and so far stable for the last 2 weeks. btw some antenna and it manage to boost up the signal from 10 to 50% I don't have random disconnection anymore after I flashed to the latest firmware and using RAS (modem) now instead of NDIS. QUOTE(MYstombox @ Jan 17 2012, 06:11 AM) How do I select RAS instead of NDIS? Er, you can select on your default dashboard. That means, you do that via plug in and select from the dashboard. Which modem are you using?

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Mar 4 2012, 04:01 PM) You're wrong. I got 21mbps from 1831 when I had it for a week. But it was unstable cause of bad firmware. That's just a sudden burst. We haven't implemented 21Mbps yet, for Maxis at least. So far only U Mobile has.

QUOTE(KKW @ Mar 31 2012, 03:09 AM) Welcome to the family Notice any different? The most noticeable thingy is the ping, I load my sites faster now. Added on March 31, 2012, 3:13 amIn term of speed, I think it is the same as my Aztech HW 550 3G. Now I can happily transport my Aztech back to PD for backup. Mine is 3.12.8 Build 110418 Rel.43954n Looks like I'll need to update later. Besides updating the compatible modems list, what else does an updated firmware do? Added on March 31, 2012, 2:46 pmThe page in TP Link is not updated... http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download...ersion=V1#tbl_jHave to manually Google. How to change MTU?
