I notice the screen in sensation is longer whereas the screen in SGS2 is wider despite both screens are 4.3".
Why like tat? Which is better?

QUOTE(Deathsongx3 @ Jan 15 2012, 09:13 AM) Pros weird, recently i encountered some batterly problems with my XE (stock rom, din root at all).-Fast -Smooth -Wide range of custom roms to flash -HTC Sense -Long lasting battery life ( For mine, 10% Battery = 8 Hours with minimal usage ) Cons -So far, I've experienced None. 10% sometimes is like 30min??? There's one morning where i last saw my battery was like 63%.......1 - 2 hours later i found out my battery was dead the only apps that were running were Lookout(AV), Advance Task Manager, Battery Indicator and Juice Defender. Also WiFi was on the whole time but i turn off auto sync and background data. should i root my phone or just wait for the official ICS update??? If cannot wait then root lo haha.
But batt display is buggy for sensation. It's a known prob. If u notice after fully charged it stays at 100% for quite abit of time even if u use it a lot. Just have a look in xda forums sensation section, they have a thread bout it. |

Hey all, back after a hiatus, work been busy >_<
So what's up? Owh I think I read a post asking about flashing the new firmware on GB ROMS, well, as mike86 stated, it doesn't give any disadvantages if you flash the firmware for GB ROMS, so what the hell, I did that and nothing bad happened, as for improvements I can't really tell whether there is any or there is but too small to notice. Switched back to faux kernel btw, battery life much better (for me at least) compared to bricked, probably because faux cpu governor is working properly as compared to show-p's smartass/on-demand. For the battery problems, I'm not sure how it goes on stock unrooted phones, but its probably due to your battery info in your phone not registered properly. For rooted phones we can just calibrate battery by wiping battery stats and do a full charge discharge cycle. 0% would be around the ~3.2V mark while 100% should be ~4.2V Additionally, please do not use task killers and let the android os manage memory for you. For Sense restarts, especially after playing HD games or heavy games, I would think it is a normal occurence, because Sense UI uses a lot of memory and when the phone requires more memory to run applications it will turn off the Sense UI. The only solution I see for this would be flashing AOSP/Senseless ROM...or maybe this may be resolved in Sense 4.0 (hopefully). For those of you who are interested in rooting your phone, do read through the stickies in the XDA forum for our phone. It will teach you ALOT of things. Most important is make sure you understand everything, don't worry and take your time. For me personally I took 2 weeks to read up and understand everything about ADB, flashing, s-offing, rooting etc and basically everything there is to know then about my phone, and the end result is I'm a smarter user. EDIT: For those of you who flashed the firmware and are on 1.20 HBoot, you can revert back to 1.17 Hboot, there's a link in Mike86's thread about the firmware. Why would you want to revert?, so that you can have access to advanced fastboot commands, but most users do not use/need it anyway so it's your call. Hi Guys,
Got 2 questions. I am planning to upgrade the current 8GB Micro SD to a larger capacity. 1. What class should I buy class 4, 6, 10? or the Sandisk Mobile Ultra? 2. Anyone with 64GB card here? can it be detected? |

QUOTE(AzeL @ Jan 17 2012, 12:07 PM) pixel wise, the density of pixel on sensation is higher than SII, infact it is almost as high as retinal display...the reason why it seems longer is because of the aspect ratio. Both of them are actually 4.3'. The aspect ratio for sensation is 16:9(QHD) while SII has 16:10(WVGA)Added on January 17, 2012, 3:28 pm QUOTE(celicaizpower @ Jan 17 2012, 02:08 PM) Hi Guys, class determine the transfer speed. If you are into Full HD movie recording, then you probably need a faster card, if you only install games, or just listen to music from your card, then class 4 is more than enough.Got 2 questions. I am planning to upgrade the current 8GB Micro SD to a larger capacity. 1. What class should I buy class 4, 6, 10? or the Sandisk Mobile Ultra? 2. Anyone with 64GB card here? can it be detected? as for the 64GB, according to this LINK, sensation should have no problem detecting it This post has been edited by lcs87: Jan 17 2012, 03:28 PM |

QUOTE(AzeL @ Jan 17 2012, 12:07 PM) Urm, what I mean is the area of screen for a wider screen is more than a longer screen. S II has a larger area than Sensation. QUOTE(celicaizpower @ Jan 17 2012, 02:08 PM) Hi Guys, I believe 64GB shouldn't be a problem. Android(Linux) can understand 64GB card. (though you may need to format the card to FAT32). When your games for example are installed in your microSD, having a higher class is definitely better performance. Got 2 questions. I am planning to upgrade the current 8GB Micro SD to a larger capacity. 1. What class should I buy class 4, 6, 10? or the Sandisk Mobile Ultra? 2. Anyone with 64GB card here? can it be detected? I was listening to music the other day and playing a game off the microsd the other day while downloading an app, the in-box class 4 microsd can't handle it. My music paused and jerk all along.
