Hey just how to change to those settings?
*
Assuming you already enable 3G & all that:
*100#
Then 7 Internet & settings
3 prepaid Broadband
10(I think)
1) Hotlink
2) Prepaid Broadband

If using mobile internet, supposed must be in Hotlink profile. If using Maxis Prepaid Broadband(modem), must be in Broadband profile. I kena before when I couldnt online using Internet Hot ticket in broadband profile.

But...... dont simply2 change for sake of changing, got problem then only change. The above was solution from customer service when I called them about hot ticket. I use hotlink profile for mobile internet on my N9 cos on the default profile(broadband) I couldnt online using 3G

If tak jalan call customer service : 1300 820120, go to Maxis Centre ask, etc,etc wink.gif

One thing about Apple is though the features arent exactly new, they are very good in marketing it. If watch Steve Job's presentation, it's like the product super terror.
People hear the Ipad, Iphone so popular, they'll think 'Sure it's good, that's why so many people buy.'
Only 'old' school types like me will question - Why dont have flash(without jailbreaking), Why no usb mass storage, why bluetooth restricted use, why no SD Card, why back cover is glass, etc, etc. I want similar features to laptop how come the tablet dont have, thought is so terror. tongue.gif

General public just know, use Iphone surf the web =fast(from actual study made). wink.gif Ipad is slick looking, got gaya(from general observation).

Nokia, the marketing, customer service, product positioning, sometimes can doh.gif . Only 'old' school types like me still faithful to the fella, a recent experience confirm the device's faithfulness to owner biggrin.gif

Wah Andy, so panjang lebar, my work report also not so panjang tongue.gif tongue.gif Understand what you mean. Go Nokia Discussion Forum WIndows phone section, that's why we(Nokia fans) complain about the restrictions of WP7, you can add your paragraph in, hehe. Like you say, so that they wouldnt think it's ok & keep doing it. Apple wouldnt care, their sales are so good.

Btw, anyone downloaded the Opera Mobile 11 unofficial version? I cannot seem to install it, after rooting it also tak boleh.

Is this the ad mentioned by a forumer earlier? If it is, then high possibility is mistake by Courts.
They switched the Nokia 700 price with N9. 700's RRP is RM1,025, not RM1,799. Didnt know Nokia 700 got D version one doh.gif Courts going to pengsan with all the complaints from people inquiring later tongue.gif

Yes, but don't waste your time. I went to Courts to check and the price is RM1799. They printed the wrong phone model for the RM1025 price. It's supposed to be a Nokia Grey whatever that is. In countries with strong consumer laws they would have to sell at the advertised price but no such thing in Malaysia.
*
I'm posting it with the info on the 700 for the benefit of the forum member who asked. We two got our N9s liao mah wink.gif
The specs for the '700D' they advertise is the same as the new Symbian Belle 3.2" Nokia 700

thats why customers like us should make noise. its not like we are dealers taking advantage of the pricing error and its not as if the pricing error is Rm 1. More we stay quiet, the more they step over us.

Dell Msia have made countless pricing errors on their website and they have ALWAYS honour the errors.
*
Ok,ok, all the best to you. If you're successful, please report back here
Then, maybe some of us can buy the Courts version to sell on ebay. laugh.gif

Yeah, cut it at Nokia shop is free, they will give you back the portion so you can paste to use in regular sim if needed.
Also, ask them to transfer your contacts for you in case you get stuck. Some older non Nokia model got problem transfer using bluetooth, Ovi Suite, Nokia Suite.

what about general browsing experience? is firefox better than the default browser?
*
Refer here to download firefox 10 beta from here : http://everythingn9.com/firefox-10-nokia-n9/

You must have developer mode on, allow installations from non store, and install a file manager
Firefox is slower than the in built browser, need to tap, then wait. It has tabs, history & all. I can sync some of the bookmarks from my PC's firefox, it doesnt sync all, just the latest 15 or so.

Opera Mobile not yet. You go ahead & try 1st
I'm testing the VLC player now. Everyone, as tested by other members earlier, VLC cant play 720p.
The only format VLC can play that the stock player cant is rmvb, but only play, increase & decrease volume, that's all.
If rewind or forward, it'll give out a shrill sound(yucks)

Whoever asked about opera mobile yesterday, it is same as the usual opera with 2 main difference : only has landscape. many times i accidently close the browser cos landscape swipe down is potrait swipe left. for people who like one hand typing like me, uncomfortable to type in landscape.
- the menu at times need to tap 2-3 times bf it comes up.

N9-apps has a very small

And offline English dictionary/thesaurus. Waiting for Collins to port. Merriam-Webster is available but American English with lot's of "wrong" spellings.

These apps will depend on commercial developers. Not many interested in N9 at the moment but we can always give them a push.
*
I think the eng-other language dictionaries will be more popular as n9 official release is in a lot of non eng speaking countries. for work purpose, i use the translator app more.
