It cant get past Aegis wor... how do they get it installed?

*
Dunno, havent seen anyone with N9 comment that they got try & it work, meaning havent read anybody got even try. Email the developer & ask him/her. I go see the maemo forum if there's a thread on this. I think the N900 users here know better to get round the program, it looks complicated to a non technie like me

Btw, I thought you return the N9 liao?

Try those non HD version see how. HD version surely impossible one. Even the author of VLC remark that there is no HARDWARE VIDEO ACCELERATION for playback, just enabled for some sort of things which really do not matters much. He went on to say High Definition video definitely a problem.

*
Most of the videos I downloaded are non HD anyway. Streamyx is like slowyx sometimes, if want to wait to download 1GB+, can pengsan.
I did read in my Nokia Blog that certain 720p formats can play, someone tested.

I'm not really a tech guy....but how to know if the movie is 720p and HD or not?

I've this Avatar 2gb file data and can play smoothly in my N9....
*
Go to the file, right click, choose properties, then details. Can see, frame height, width, bit rate, frame per second.
If you are downloading from websites, they have the descriptions :
720p H264 avi, 720p X264 mkv, 720 p rmvb
divx is xvid

Nowadays, they have full description, with like 4 to 5 versions for same series/movie, easier for downloader to choose which is compatible :" CSI New York S08E04 HDTV 720p X264-DIMENSION
HD 720P | English | 42 Mins | h264 @ 3739 kb/s | 1280x720 23fps | AC3 448Kbps 48Khz | 1.09 Gb ohmy.gif
Genre: Action | Crime | Drama | Mystery | Thriller

But how do we know it is the baseline type which N9 plays?

Yeah, my unifi was also downloading at <10kBps last week.

If not mistaken, that guy is also 'shootspeak', who also takes photos & puts up in gallery like aspire, nice pics he took
His description is rather detail liao, for regular downloader like me.

Other than that, my E6 can play some 720p files, TV series sometimes boleh, movies takda boleh. I suppose this is the technical explaination why.

sgs2 housing very strong meh?

hahaha, good thing they didnt meet me. Sure I will say samsung is cheap plastic cos I dont have good experience with samsung's product durability.

Wah, like that I must 'old school'. My friends all use E or C series. My customers use variety, but still have a nokia qwerty and a full touchscreen android

I thought it' already well known? Not something new; Most people I know already anti-Nokia, say got new phone, ask what brand, Nokia, then not interested or don't even wanna know. Only those that still stick to Nokia will still buy Nokia.
Those that previous switch to SE for reasons like camera or speaker/sound, still thinks the same to Nokia.

*
It's not all gloom & doom in the mass market. For full touchscreen phones yes, samsung, htc, SE is popular. SE is still trusted brand for walkman & camera.
If qwerty phones, it's still nokia for 'branded' model. Thia includes youngsters. If cheapo one, they buy CSL or china brand.

Friend, how far is Melaka from KL? Just make a trip and get the 64GB before it is all sold out and you have to wait till God knows when for next batch. Supply of 64GB is tight all over the world.
*
I may be Nokia fan but not until purposely make a trip up just to buy one. No 64GB, got 16GB.

I am using Digi GSM only, in PJ. Considerably alright. But I suspect something running because I enable developer's mode

Added on October 19, 2011, 12:23 pm

Do you enable twitter feed, FB feed and AP news feed on the Notification home screen?
*
check in talk maemo forum - user experience thread. Some ppl who have developer mode on also have same prob as you. Sthing to do with 'ssh server', whatever that is.

If they can sell online, might as well they sell to those in US or other countries where N9 not available. It's going at USD700, USD800 over there. No way a seller will sell an ori N9 so cheap.

I was gonna buy this phone just now.But some curious questions kept me back from buying. How is the web browser?Apps and etc compared to the old Maemo? And I believe we don't get a hot swappable micro sd card?Kinda bored with Android and iOS atm.
*
Hmmm, cute tube is available already on Ovi Store. A bunch of other apps which I havent heard of in the community - the N900 users might know better.

on ya, regarding the battery, i read from one review, he said that the build in battery is no replaceable, mean if battery damage then cannot replace anymore..is that true? only can still replace by nokia service centre? this is important to me before i get one hmm.gif
*
Iphone also same case, but so many people still buy. Like some of the sifus said, can open, from screen side, if one dares. Ya ya, I also drool.gif see the 16GB cyan, preferred cyan colour actually but 10GB only to store videos really takda cukup
