Just tested the N9 earlier. Everything OK except unable to add multiple numbers of same category. Same issue as WP7 Mango. Worthless! Many people have 2 or more mobile numbers these days. Both Android and iOS can handle it but N9 cannot. Even outdated Nokia E61 can do it. WTF?

Just tested the 2nd application FMOBI. Bought from the Nokia N9 and later access thru my Nokia N8 and i can download again without paying.

How to reconfirm this check the reviews in ovi store it should show people comment using symbian and meego. Not all apps are supported only specify ones

Multiple numbers yes but not multiple numbers of same category!

Same issue as WP7 Mango. U can only add 1 or each (either mobile, home or work). What if u have 2 mobile number? Cannot right? Both iOS and Android can specify more than 2 mobile numbers.

just add in the 2nd hp no to home or work category. No big deal, considering I also use for work related hp nos. It works, I have tested.
If not enough, can add in abc2 as contact.

Nothing to stop you adding the second mobile under home or work. If you run out of fields to add phone nos. just create another entry for the same contact like Azman, Azman Home. Not a deal breaker imo.

It is very silly considering the outdated E61 can add multiple mobile numbers. Creating a separate contact is very lame and messy. I prefer my contacts neat and tidy - been doing housekeeping since the Android days.

Nokia needs to address this issue. Why broke something useful in Symbian for new phone?

Meego isn't the evolution of Symbian. It's a new os and still a little rough at the edges. There will be more features added when PR1.2 comes out. In the meantime there are more pressing issues like no Whatsapp and no video calls. Both are being addressed but those who take up N9 now will need to be patient.

like we said, no need create another contact, just add in under home or work, same as adding another mobile no.
personally, I prefer having 2 like ahmad1, ahmad 2. 1 for main and/or work, no 2 for 2nd line/personal. Then no need think which is which, click on tbe name, immediately call. I find this method more 'neat and tidy' than having to look at 5 nos and think which work no,2nd work no,etc, etc.

still, not big issue, and not main reason why i would choose one brand over another.

Here's a tip increase the volume of your N9.
http://everythingn9.com/increase-the-volum...-your-nokia-n9/

However I was not able to complete the instruction as I could not get to PreDriv in terminal. Some Sifu may know better.

you can actually add multiple numbers under same "category" actually
when you are editing a phone number entry, you should notice that the label (Home/Mobile/Work/Others etc.) are underlined, just tap on it then you are given a list of other "categories". You can then have all 5 numbers as "Mobile" if you really need to

new user reporting in, cyan N9 biggrin.gif

jump ship from htc desire (android) -> htc mozart 7 (wp7) -> Nokia N9 (Meego).

Actually today i want to find a cheap replacement phone for my mozart which is having soo many problems include unresponsive screen, very troublesome when i want to answer a phone call. Then i tried this N9 and fall in love with the design and os functionality (i need wifi hotspot which wp7 mango dont have). straight away buy this, bought it at rrp 1799.

so far im pretty impress with the performance, eventhou the N9 meego i think is not as fast as wp7 but it still smooth.

sometimes i've been thinking..
If only Elop did not declare Meego's officially "dead",how would this OS be today?
Perhaps it has already (at least) replacing symbian due to its flexibility and possibility and definitely put big challenges to android and ios when it grows enough..?

If Nokia had fully backed Meego and put in half the money they are using to promote WP7, the N9 will probably be more successful than Lumia. Even though Elop has killed off commercial developers' interest in Meego consumer interest is still high.
