what's your view on Kenanga One PRS?
*
I just signed up for it, for employer additional contribution
I think it's good since it feeds into a good track record fund, if only there is one that contribute 100% into equity fund tongue.gif

Why do I say it's good? You save even the 2% sales charge if you were to contribute via FSM, be it cash contribution or EPF contribution

I was told by the Kenanga personnel that they are in the midst of getting the PRS funds onto FSM platform. So it's just a matter of time lor

ok maaa

Cash bonuses on top of everything
Great Premier Wealth delivers what it promises and more. The plan may also help boost your savings further with yearly non-guaranteed cash bonuses. Use this additional cash, if any, as you wish – spend it on your loved ones, or accumulate it with the Company to generate a bigger payout at the maturity of the plan.

if u buy PRS, if u die no payout..

if u buy GE, if u die got payout..

This private retirement funds available in some insurance companies. For example, you pay RM3000/year for 20 years plan, then insurance company will pay you a sum/yr on 21st year onwards, this is consider retirement funds. For those need to pay 26% for income tax, RM3000 x 26% = RM780 exempted. This type of retirement plans definately give you better return than FD, somemore you get tax relief. You save RM780/yr x 10 years (only tax relief for 10 years) = RM7800, yet you still enjoy the saving return.

Hope i answer the question here.

Yup, this is awesome.. been investing in PRS since the inception. If u play well with timing (say RM3k lump sum) every Dec, u get your "return" in the following month of 26%.

what i liked about PRS compared to annuity is the flexibility.

on the other hand, i can even invest thru FSM everytime I see my fund price goes down. Been using this strategy and making decent return from this since 2012.

You shouldn't track the PRS so frequent as it is your retirement basket whereby you can only exercise the withdrawal 30 years later.

Of course, unless you're planning to do switching strategy.

CIMB Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund is a silent steady grower. CIMB-Principal PRS Plus Asia Pacific Ex Japan Equity - Class C feeds into CIMB Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund (>90% of its total portfolio).

HOW DO I RECEIVE THE RM500 INCENTIVE?

You will receive the RM500 incentive in the form of units of the FIRST PRS fund that reaches the minimum RM1,000 gross investment amount. These units will automatically be credited into your sub-account A.

If you have several PRS funds with a single or multiple PRS providers that reach the minimum RM1,000 gross amount on the same date, the RM500 incentive will be divided equally among these PRS funds.

PPA will credit the RM500 into your PRS fund(s) after the cut-off date of end June and December every year from 2014 to 2018.

Can I ask, can I switch from one prs fund to another prs fund?

eg, currently invested 2k in cimb funds, but i want to switch to kenanga funds instead, with the same 2k, sell them off and buy into kenanga?

maybe I can't use my current agent to do so because he's from CWA, so can I ask him to sell for me, then I use that money in my prs account to buy something else? thx.
