QUOTE(ubuntu @ May 31 2014, 04:25 PM) According to FSM guide, it's according to your birth date:http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/resea...?articleNo=4558 But I won't want to take the chance. However, if you're already contributing to a PRS fund previously, this won't matter and it just an extra bonus for you. Don't take it this is a lame excuse to start a retirement scheme or investment for your golden age. Read the details that this RM 500 incentive is credited into Account I and can only be withdrawn at the age 55. |

Most of the rebate given by the government is for low income group. For those middle to high income group will not benefit at all which i think its fair. I feel good for PRS especially Hwang Shariah Fund. Its growing strong with gain of 8% since last year. The bad thing is u cant take it out

The bad thing is u cant take it out eh - U did proper due diligence or not ar?The PRS rebate is for "youngsters" - not "low income group". There are 25-30 year olds making more than old uncles like me Who said U can't take out? Either 50 can take out all OR PRS A/c B - can take out anytime but kena taxed 8% coz tax relief given for the year input/invest. Imagine tax relief get 26%, then take back out pay 8%... NEXT! |

QUOTE(tan1346 @ Jun 8 2014, 07:22 AM) We are already in the midst of discussion with Kenanga Investors Berhad to bring their PRS funds on our platform. However, we are unable to reveal the available date at the moment.Lastly, rest assured that no platforms shall be imposed on investments for EPF funds and PRS funds. Hope the above have have answered your queries. |

QUOTE(MNet @ Jun 8 2014, 06:53 PM) http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/SRX%20brochure_15Mac.pdfHm.. English? Page 4? Front end charge: 25% 1st + 2nd year 20% 3rd year 10% 4th year 5% 5th to 10th year Page 3? Taking average of high (6%) & low (3% and still NOT guaranteed), $58,723 is the return after 10th year (unclear - if more than that, worse), which is about 11.36%pa Low would be 3.78%pa (still not guaranteed!) & High be 16.57%pa so.. in your opinion, which portion is better than PRS? Especially PRS with 0% front end charges? The $10K death insurance? |

QUOTE(MNet @ Jun 8 2014, 08:59 PM) true. but what is the probability of PRS negative returns, given a 10 year time frame AND every year invest $3K (DCA per year or DCA every 4 mths $1K)? i do agree that annuities are useful for some purposes - especially for those that NEEDs assurance. for others, locking in the $ for 10 or more years and getting FD or slightly better than FD rate may not be too enticing, especially if they've other $ locked in with EPF. Just thinking This post has been edited by wongmunkeong: Jun 8 2014, 09:09 PM |
