sorry guys, noob question. will there be a downside if I pump money into PRS monthly, let's say RM250/mth, instead of one-shot RM3000 to benefit from the tax relief? will I lose some amount due to the sales charges? if I pump rm250/mth in FSM will there be any charges?
*
No difference in the sales charge and tax relief.
The only difference will be number of units acquired based on NAV like normal unit trust funds (non-fixed price funds) which ultimately determines the fund performance (return).

Q: I got kenanga funds on my PPA already, but i want to buy other funds for PRS, better to get it on FSM or PPA? I want all under one roof so dont need remember so many logins and also want to RSP 250/monthly so easier will make 3k year end.

Seems like when i want to purchase other funds, they ask me to use the mobile version for formless registration but I already have my PPA number. Thanks for the guidances
*
PPA portal doesn't allow to buy a new fund from PRS provider which is not under your holdings.
You can buy top up into existing fund or buy a new fund from the same PRS provider (my guess).

For FSM formless portal, just key in your existing PPA number should be able to proceed.

Hi Guys,

I just enrolled to PRS last Thursday thru PPA, and invested RM3k into my selected fund. Now when I want to create my online account, it always says that 'You have not yet register your email address. Please contact 1300-131-772 for assistance. (1005)'. I've seen few other members of the forum also reached this point.

Hence, do I still need to wait for any feedback from PPA (in the form of email or phone call)? Or I need to call them and ask right away? How long does it take normally for an investment to be 'officialized'?

Thank you in advanced.
*
Your PRS provider should send you statement on top of PPA.

thanks for the response.

I received email from PPA late yesterday evening, saying that my online enrolment application was not successful because my name did not match with my payment bank.  hmm.gif But i checked my name on the bank, and during the application is same as per my identification card.

However, they mention that the money will be refunded back into my account. I wanna enrol as part of my tax saving items.

What's the difference between PPA and FSMone?
*
No difference as they merely "sales agent".

Any PRS fund to recommend? Just sign up for FSMone n first time using it. Am eying the recommended funds for growth & moderate, don't mind some risk due to the long time horizon.

Can consider REIT since the price has undervalued or sub-par for months.

yeah..back in march or so, i know keep drop. should topup. but at the same time, i takut ada impact to job lol.so didnt topup.
the only silver lining is at that time, i took some money out from EPF to play i-invest. just want to see how's the procedure, it gave me good return, i dah sell all.

only around sept, i feel secure and start put money in bit by bit. everyday i do rm100 now until max.  laugh.gif
*
I also took money from EPF into Principal Greater China Equity Fund - MYR and the return-to-date is already close to 10%
And also I took my personal money into Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Growth Fund - MYR and that fund return-to-date is also close to 10%

Has to be brave to make the decision!

btw, i dunno if its an issue. through fsm, i did fpx today, dah finish transaction but i never click "return to merchant site" (or something like that) for a long long time. fpx send email say succcess. but fsm said still pending like i never manage to pay. not like the normal pending where you successfully transfer. this one is where it ask you to cancel or proceed to pay via check/whatever non-online.

not sure if its going to be an issue.
*
If fund has been deducted, do check with FSM CS regarding the transfer status.
If fund has not been deducted, void the the transaction and redo the order placement.

If they received the fund, you should receive acknowledgement email.
Afraid the fund got stuck in between and need to deal with Paynet.

hi everyone, im interested with PRS and do hope someone can explain about this to me... i did some google search and found that it looks like a unit trust with RM3000 tax relief... no need to pay using EPF money and there are many fund or bank for selection... the things that i confuse with is how do we start with this? what is FSM? how do i set up beneficial incase i die before 55 years old?

found this from the net which im confuse with:
4.7 average rating:
Affin Hwang PRS Moderate.
AmPRS PRS Islamic Equity.
AmPRS PRS Conservative.
Kenanga OnePRS Shariah Equity.
Public Mutual PRS Moderate.
Public Mutual PRS Islamic Moderate.

Anyone free to assist?

the things that i confuse with is how do we start with this? You can DIY at PPA portal or FSM.
what is FSM? They're middleman/agent/distributor like eunittrust.com
how do i set up beneficial incase i die before 55 years old? Submit the completed nomination form with PPA or your sales channel like FSM

Most of the PRS funds are feeder funds to its existing funds of the PRS provider under its management; i.e they don't want to reinvent the wheel.
As you had already read up, PRS works like EPF with disguise of unit trusts.
PRS provider makes it simple by just rating the PRS funds that they're offering under 3 mainly core risk categories: Conservative, Moderate and Growth based on your age.

Hey guys, I already open Public Mutual PRS, but do I still need to enroll "https://prsenrolment.ppa.my/" ?

Do they link up together? or just focus in Public Mutual PRS enough?

TIA
*
If you have already opened a PPA account with PM, it'll be linked to the PPA system.
Remember PPA is the administrator and PM is the PRS provider (aka fund manager).
