I have not gotten mine too. Registered on april last year. Government no money is it??
*
You guys realised that's a RM165M allocation right? Which is = 165k people only can get it.

Anyway, you should email PPA and ask them about it.

QUOTE(fresbee @ Apr 29 2018, 09:56 PM)
I'm interested in the youth incentives that government will give 1k if we put 1k in this PRS, so I would like to know which providers can provide better services or better product. Currently am considering cimb principal, any advice?
*
Never buy a PRS based in better services. Buy a PRS that
1) suit your risk
2) able to grow your money >= EPF. If < EPF, then just dump it into EPF or amanah saham fixed priced fund.

i recently open prs account
and i have deposited rm1k exactly a week ago
however until today its not reflected in my account statement
i think i have waited reasonable amount of time before asking this question,
where the fuck is the money?
i deposited the money through ppa/prs website
the fund manage is cimb
*
Last week election. It takes at least four days for the money to appear.

Not to mention if you open and buy at the same time, it takes longer time as they need to open account, then only can buy.

Hi all, newbie here to PRS. I googled up a bit and notice gov will contribute RM1000 to match your Minimum Contribution of RM1000 of PRS.

Is this still happening now? And also only for 1st year or every year?

Thanks
*
Yes happening. But people are late getting their. Not sure of it's because change in government or budget allocated for it have been used up.

One time payment as long as you fulfilled the criteria
1) buy RM1000 worth of funds
2) less than 30 years old

No RM1k incentive so what? Still got Rm3k tax relief. Rather than pay govt extra money, best to pay yourself first.

Hi guys,

I'm applying for PRS via the PPA's website.
Which PRS provider is recommended? It is my first time and I'm quite unfamiliar with all these funds.
I always hear people talking about CIMB / Public Mutual / Affin Hwang.
Thank you & sorry if this is a repetitive question.  blush.gif
*
Use FSM MY or eUnittrust.
Don't buy based on brand of fund house name. Buy based on what's suitable for you. i.e what are you looking for in a PRS.
For me, my PRS criteria is very simple
- it must beat EPF return as no point I put in PRS if I am getting less than what EPF is giving me. EPF is practically risk free money from govt. Since both is going to be lock up for a long time, I want it to at least match EPF return.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this. Just want to know is this PRS worth to invest? How can I get max? N which bank/agent I should go to? Anyone kind enough to guide me? Thanks smile.gif
*
Of course is worth to invest. You know why? Money put into PRS is still yours at the end of the day. Money paid as income tax no matter how little is kot yours anymore.

Use FSM MY or eunittrust. Of course to invest in PRS, one need to make sure the return can match risk free EPF rate.

QUOTE(HappySunglasses @ Jul 28 2018, 09:59 AM)
If I invested rm1000 into PRS, PPA charge me RM10.60 for account opening and gst....

Do I still entitled for the RM1000 free from gov?

Asked my agent and she said she not sure, ask me wait and see😅

Can get. But see the reply given by rapple.

Thanks for the reply,
I'm pretty new to all these funds thing and my main purpose is actually to get the gomen incentive & tax relief.
Thus I'm not sure which fund should i proceed with. Though I've seen previous post other forumers have been mentioning CIMB Asia Pacific Ex Japan Equity.  biggrin.gif
Planning to get directly from the PPA website
*
If you get directly form them I think got charge. Use the 2 platform recommended. These few post said no more government incentive due to change in govt. Don't know when they will release the money.

I bought mine before change in govt so I got the incentive.

I'm fairly new in UT, is there a PRS thread available?
And is switching as convenient as for UT?

Here you go. Not so easy to switch. For PRS just pick one. No need pening kepala to pick so many funds.

Thanks Ramjade. Yeah, I picked the CIMB Growth PRS Ex-Japan, but then it's correction time now,
also found out that FSM actually provided 0% SC for PRS, wondering why CIMB charged me SC, should have just signed up via FSM?
*
I buy via FSM. Other alternative is eUT.

i m very new to this tbread, appreciate if you could give me some advise.

1. enroll into PRS via FSM is totally free of charge? any SC which i need to pay?

2. Do i need to choose which bond to purchase? or they will assist to choose?

3. CIMB seems is the best player for PRS.. should i go directly to them?

Thank you very much for ur sharing
*
1. No service charge.

2. Depending on what you choose lo. If course you need to select what you want to buy. Is either you buy bond funds or equities fund but no point getting bond fund for PRS as most bond funds give 3-4% returns which means you are better off with promo FD rates then buying such lousy funds.

3. Different people different appetite. Never ever buy UT based on brand name. That's the worst mistake one can make. Buy based on your expectation, performance and risk tolerance.

For this year, the best PRS growth fund is still CIMB-Principal PRS Plus Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Equity - Class C, right?  thumbup.gif

If I am not mistaken, an annual fee of RM8 will be deducted from your investment amount for subsequent investment on the next calendar year per fund house. So, if we invest in 2 different PRS funds in a calendar year, we need to pay twice the annual fee of RM8.

That is why I need to decide on the only one PRS fund I should focus on this year.

For this year, what is your planned entry price for CIMB-Principal PRS Plus Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Equity - Class C? Any price below RM 0.98?
No worries, MUM.  smile.gif Anyone can offer their opinions here, as we can benefit from learning from various perspectives.

Since we are allowed to sell our PRS funds without penalty upon the age of 55, we can tolerate some volatility and greater risk of the PRS fund till the age of 55. This is assuming that it is possible to obtain higher annualized return from this PRS fund at the age of 55, as compared to other PRS funds.
*
That's why I said just pick one. I only have one which is CIMB-Principal PRS Plus Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Equity - Class C. Planned to topup when it hits my ori buying price. If I am not mistaken 0.91+ I am not logged in so can't really confirm. What I know is another 10% drop should reach my buying price already.

Plenty of time for Trump to fire another shot to send EM/Asia scrambling for cover.

YTD is abt -5%

thus it may not reach YTD -10%

10% from current price. Not 10% from previous high...

That's why I am monitoring daily now.

Of course grab already. My govt incentive already negative return. If only govt have given the money earlier.
