Coolsense to coolest = turbo boost off..

Coolsense was left at default settings at the medium (can't remember what it was called).

Optimized Mode (middle option) = TurboBoost On
Other 2 options will turn it Off.

If you set Max Processor State in Windows Power Plan to <100% it will disable TurboBoost too.

Anyone successfully install AMD 11.10 on top of HP driver?

I did a clean install AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver 2011-05-06 , Version:8.830.6.2000 followed by official AMD 11.10 but installer unable to detect new version from the latest installer. Any advice? blush.gif

Difference in performance? None. U get Bluray drive and additional Dynamic graphic switching method.

IMO, GE620DX-FHD@RM3.3K is a better choice altho with slightly slower GPU but recent news stated you can get 6001TX w/o Beats as low as RM2.6K
So in your opinion is the Bluray drive and Dynamic graphic switching (whats this?) worth paying close to RM1k more? Who uses Bluray on laptops anyway? Might be better to just get the 6001TX and buy the extra RAM separately?

What do you think?

Btw where did you guys get your HPs? Just walk into any HP dealer? I think there's one in 1u right?

run winsat disk -v cos a lot ppl thought installed the latest driver but actually not the latest. i found out the font is different from previously. need to go device manager there del the driver after done so much thing.

Dynamic switching is similar to Nvidia Optimus, u set which application to use discrete graphic and which to use integrated. RM1k? I thought 6114TX i juz around RM3.1k now w/o Beats. Maybe lower.

nono winsat is right. i solved it by uninstall 8.742 at device manager wanna prove c the pic..

that is i face the problem now solved when i del 8.742 at device manager. now winsat show 8.902 but is it ur device manager got a lot driver like mine?? eg: 8.850 & 8.861 & etc???

b4 the font is bigger. now the font r smaller & look nicer.

Many guys in NBR forum already start using 11.10 with their HD6770M. Only 1 guy having the same problem like yours. hmm.gif

Registered just for this thread, it seems like it's the most informed thread about the laptop i got, which is DV6-6001TX, with Radeon HD6770M. I also have a problem with the damn Catalyst driver, i clean installed the latest available HP driver, then installed over it 11.10 catalyst. Yet, i still have the same driver showing in "Software" window. Can someone help? How did u install your 11.10 when it doesn't support switchable graphics so you can't clean install?
