Hi guys I'm contemplating getting the 6001 or 6114. How much difference do you guys think there is between the 2, is it worth paying the extra for the 6114?
And how's the laptop overall in general so far? Is it the clear market leader for the 3000-3500 price range? Thanx. |

Huh... has HP seriously phased out the 6001 and 6114? Pretty sad case if that's true, planned to get the 6114 this week. The 6b14 looks slightly lower spec and the 6168 looks abit too expensive.

Is there any negatives to not partitioning my HD and leaving the whole thing as C only?
After few days use (although not too much yet, no time), loving the laptop. The exterior looks and feels really good, looks more expensive than it is. Bad points is that it crashed once already I believe it's related to Simplepass. Was trying to set my fingerprint to login and it suddenly hanged. Apart form that I've cleaned out most of the HP files and my baby running quite smooth now, still messing with the beatsaudio finding the best setting. Anyone know if Kaspersky is better than Norton? I've always used Kaspersky but now since got norton already if norton is better I won't bother uninstall it. |

Guys since my windows 7 came pre-installed like most people, should I do a backup of sorts in case my laptop totally crash?
Using the method in the first post is the only way? The windows backup & restore utility can't do it ah? |

May I know whats the difference between the AMD catalyst 8.93 and the DNA GFX 11.10.1?

I updated to the v8.93 but my CCC is still the same. Any idea why?

Guys just got skyrim, what's the best settings we can put using the CCC and in-game for best performance?
Now just using the default "High" that skyrim recommends. |

Is there a way to on/off the touchpad like how most laptops can? It gets a little irritating when using a real mouse but obv when I don't have a mouse I'd like to activate it easily.

Hey guys... whats the best settings for skyrim? I'm using 6114tx, got some things on ultra some on high. No MSAA, FXAA on.
Mind sharing screenshot, those that have managed to maximise quality with the fps still smooth? What's the balanced setting? Cheers. |
