ULPS disabled is always good for overclocking. Might be placebo effect. lol

haha, i got stable 860/980 on 1.051, which is pretty cool for the core memory setting. Guy on NBR said core is more GPU-inducing, i guess i'll see Thanks Acid!

Just tested Leshcat driver on skyrim, works great.

Leshcat mentioned a feature where you can switch between dynamic and fixed. But I can't see it in my switchable graphics properties.

And last time when I was on DNA, OpenHardwareMonitor shows 100MHz for AMD card when it is turned off, but now it shows 0?

Should I reinstall the driver?

What model of DV6 do u have? if 6168Tx or another one he mentioned, u should log into your bios for that, change it, and then u will have the option inside the catalyst. On other dv6 laptops it doesn't work, like my 6001tx. About HardWare - maybe because the driver is not supported by them, don't worry, as long as you can play Skyrim means everything is alright. If you see any errors, fps drops, sudden crashes - you might wanna reinstall, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it

I have the 6114TX which has dynamic switching. Yes BIOS works for switching, but leshcat mentioned that his modded CCC can allow changing from dynamic to fixed and vice-versa in the "switchable graphics" section.

emm where is the best for setting graphic in BIOS?fixed or dynamic?quite confuse..

Fixed is the best. I hate dynamic.

It's supposed to be in BIOS (F10 during startup) >> System Configuration. Should have an option there for (Switchable Graphics method) or smth like that.

I can't find that option on my wife's dv6 6001tx (after the mobo was replaced). Tried flashing the BIOS to F1.B, still no option. It's now stuck in dynamic mode which causes Battlefield 3 to work only in windowed mode. Blardy frustrating. My dv6 is totally fine with BF3 though. I plan to flash my wife's dv6's BIOS to F.13, older BIOS, but will that help?

Hi.. questions regarding DV6 6001tx (1360 x 768) since i see a nice offer around my place. I would love to know the performance of :

1. FIFA 12 and PES 2012 = can i get constant 60 fps with max. graphic setting ?

2. Dirt3 = can i get constant 60 fps at least with medium setting

3. The witcher 2 = what setting should i choose for 60 fps

4. How is the performance for photosop, illustrator ?

5. Is the 6770m equals to desktop 6670 ?

6. Currently living in Johor 27-30 deg C. Is a laptop cooler is a must when gaming ? Probably only spend 1-2 hour when gaming

1) fifa & pes not demanding so just set high it will get 60fps.

2) i can only get 40~50 + fps for medium setting i bet u need to turn off some option to get above 60 fps should be no problem also. ur card might be better than mine 10~20%

3) can play high setting.. google for the setting.

4) depend ram & cpu.. since is quad should be ok!

5) can't compare mobility v desktop card of cos 'kalah teruk'

6) cooling pad is extra for ur lappy. johor whr got this temp oh? at least 32°C onwards recently raining also doesn't feel cold also. i suggest CM U3 for u but as long ur underneath got ventilation should be alright.

y ur memory type unknown? should be GDDR5 if no mistake.. but should be ok de.. is it retail game or u din crack it correctly? edit the config for the game (google it) should be fine.

me stay at plentong. skudai should be ok gua. play 1-2 hrs w/o cooler should be ok de but based on my experience cooler does help even just reduce 5°C sound might be little but for long term is worth. U2 is just fitted nicely for 15.6", i suggest go for U3 cos extra 1 fan than U2.

im having problem when playing batman, when ever i press ctrl +space , it will hang and all others button cant move, but if i press space + ctrl ntg happens, i think its related to the input settings, any idea how to fix this??

Yes, you need to update the BIOS to F.1A or newer and then set Fixed in BIOS. In windows, open CCC and select High Performance graphic in order to use HD6770M with OpenGL application.

I recommend new user to stick with HP driver until u've familiarize with the laptop as benchmark.
Do update to HP 8.882 though.. because it come with OpenCL driver.

Btw if you planning to install AMD driver, you need to install it on top of HP driver.

@Acid witcher 2 u play LOW? COW can play high wor but he did OC. even our card OC also can't beat urs. tak kan can't play medium 2 high wat.

if i installed 11.11 2nd times, the view log show green sign w/o error.
