There is a new AMD driver from HP version 8.830.6.3000
*
There is also an intel driver. Since I have 11.9 installed already, can I just install the intel driver? I also saw Fresco USB3 driver but my unit is using Renesas controller, not sure if I should update. Any advice guys? biggrin.gif

Thanks Acid for the clarification... rclxms.gif But as efalex point out, there is a new AMD driver dated 16 Sep in HP site. I doubt it's the latest AMD driver though ie 11.9...

I had the same problem with that siggy too....

do you have any other USB devices to test and confirm it other than the external HDD?
no its not 11.9. laugh.gif  i guess they change something for the intel driver or intel switching component. i hate when ppl put new driver without the changelog.

your driver kept crashing? mind installing latest MSI Afterburner beta and enable overclocking mode 2 instead of 1.

who ah jun? sweat.gif
i can't install the DLC.. duno why.
still new.. maybe can 1 to 1 exchange? tongue.gif
everything already updated?
*
Then maybe I should try installing the new AMD driver from HP before trying afterburner method?

Was wondering if it is safe to transport laptop while in sleep mode. Subjected to shock etc. Hard disk will be affected?

No.
Sleep mode should have everything shut off except the power to the RAM...
*
That's great. So I dun have to shutdown after work everytime. RAM is not affected by shock as it's solid state... smile.gif

Try benchmark your HDD, like HDTune or CrystalDiskMark..
Better get Asus G53Sx laugh.gif
Looks like related to usb port, got unplug/plugin something during that time?
Try do defrag using defragment buit-in Windows first, then try again the command.
Latest now 11.11

You update to which version?

Added on November 17, 2011, 1:10 pm
For better gaming go for G53SX. nod.gif
The reason why i'm not fond to Windows.  rclxub.gif
Try
1. Uninstall Windows Performance Toolkit and reinstall with this wpt_amd64.msi.
2. Delete everything in Windows\Prefetch.
3. Set Pagefile as "System Managed".
Not really. At the same price Asus G53SX is better except in battery life and weight/size.
HP need to lower 6168TX price to RM3.6K or something. brows.gif

Alot of guys contributed, not only me. laugh.gif

Your AMD adapter successfully updated to .3000 but not Intel adapter? Try reinstall it again or manually update it.

No acid, my intel driver is still 2000. I've attach screenshots. Please let me know if I'm on latest driver?
