Yup, Envy has backlit keys and a nice IPS panel. But the price is of course, also way higher than the Dv6.

Apparently the price for Envy 15 at the States will be $1,100. Its cheap if you direct convert but i think when it reach here the price will jack up to RM5k or RM6k.


I think you gonna need 3 discs. Correct me if i'm wrong since i didn't make my recovery disc.

acid: did u tried 8.93 nov 22?? frankly speaking it more stable than 8.93 nov 11. i played black ops on vorkuta for less than 30 min still left the last checkpoints i failed cos headache during play 1st person shooting r better than previous driver.

The Splash Player seems to 'fast forward' the movie for me

There is DV6 freeDOS ?

What I dun like about Splash is unable to jump to a certain time like VLC. for example, if i wanna jump to minute 35 of a movie, i cant except to use the slider in splash...

Also, I saw some settings for remote control. What does it mean by this? How do I configure it?

Hmm, I rarely use that function. Just realize can do that by Ctrl + G on MPC

u using wat driver? 8.93 nov 22 r suitable for BF3. u can interested BF3? PES 12 u using pesedit or smoke patch? 2.3.2 is out now!

I rarely fast forward my video but the slider did show the mins and secs when u hover on it.


8.93 (nov18). My BF3 experience was flawless since 11.8.3 and i stopped playing any other game since i got Skyrim installed.
Except Dota and rFactor which is mandatory.

Maybe I need to playback 2 same videos using VLC and Splash to see the fluid motion...hmmm...

Download this in 1080P and play it side by side. You will notice the difference.

Its indeed smoother with Splash Player, but somehow feels the movement have more speed..

Skyrim better stick with 11.11b or wait for the new driver next month. i heard 8.93 nov 22 not yet solved the skyrim shit. BF3 working perfect. i really dun und those fella complaining sc2 1.4.2 can't patch. i just patch it perfectly.

SVP is just a package of MPC, madVR, ffdshow, reclock...

ReClock make my video faster and sound sometimes out of sync..

Like the video accelerated forward. I get that too but only in some video. Probably not optimize with that container.


I have no problem with Skyrim too. All those with shitloads of problem are them with multi-gpu configurations.



But doesn't mean i'm free from game bug...

Mobility HD4670 could only run around 25FPS for Skyrim..

As for Splash Player, major issue for me now is green video for almost my anime, most likely driver problem..

i have seen this video on how to fix SSD onto dv6 but the bottom cover for this version of dv6 is with screws while my 6114 is all plastics without screws, i think need to pull it out. anyone tried before?
