yesterday night i was in blight town being human i got invaded, this guy waited me darn long down at the swamp area with bonfire because its my first time there, i managed to win him over with a large club +6 with 29 str (it was my first invasion battle =P), later i was killed by a NPC invasion... didnt know it was NPC until i check later lol

the guy that invaded me had at least more than 1500hp as i hit him 5-6 times per swing 290+dmg & 2 Fire Orb around 280+ dmg, after the battle i look back i only had like 780+hp, how on earth he gets that much?

With invasions, your invader needs to be within 10% of your soul level, he might have decided to boost his vitality at the expense of his other stats and that's still a perfectly viable build. If he has a lightning enchant or a fire enchant then all his dps stats would be wasted since there's no scaling with those weapons. Having said that, no one is invading me currently since I'm still at level 5 after having beaten blight town.

Just finished the game for the first time 2 days ago. One of the best games I ever played! Now I hardly have any interest for other games...

You may try other character type or re-explore again in NG+. I finished with Warrior character, so now I try with Mage build... Else you may try SKYRIM, abit different type of experience but the visual is eye candy....

im now at Anor Londo... man those Knights respawns .... im wearing the red sealers set any better sets for Pyromancer? the gold hemm set is weaker it seems

This will take you to endgame and beyond. If you didn't add to str or dex and instead bufffed endurance and vitality this would have been perfect.

So the next best alternative is this http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Greatsword+of+Artorias since you do get benefits from having high strength with this weapon. Plus it looks awesome. Just make sure you don't make the cursed version.

Having said that, I used a +5 lightning zweihander for my NG+ playthrough and that was pretty awesome as well even if it wasn't a boss weapon.

yeah, actually i have looked at the darksouls wiki regarding weapons to forge it doesnt really looks ultimate... i mean the dmg look at quelaag fury +5 @ 90 physical+255 fire with B dex scalling, if i didnt boost dex it would also means min scalling dmg. my large club +10 is atleast 400dmg with 180 poison effect A str scalling at 29str ... i mean for me i like range+dmg.

i think Greatsword of Artorias is not for me, i have 12 int & 8 faith =/ as a pyro

btw what do we do to the left over boss souls? if i only need 1? consume it ?

One of the reason's why quelagg is really good is that it swings fast and it doesn't use much endurance, so with the club it's 2 swings per endurance bar (I'm just guessing as it depends on how much endurance you have), whereas with queelag's furysword you can swing 4-7 times. in MMO speak while damage per swing is important (moreso for pvp), it's the damage per second that's important.

also with my +10 dagger i'm critting for close to 700 damage with 300 bleed on the unarmored mobs and i've not levelled my stats yet since i started But then my playstyle is to go for backstabs and parry/ripostes.

Anyway, i recommend trying the furysword anyway since the other boss weapon alternatives with queelag's suck really bad.

I don't recommend consuming boss souls especially since it's so easy to get souls nowadays anyway. And the point of the greatsword is for NG+

I played as a Pyro and only focused on upgrading my HP and stamina. My other stats are laughable.

I used the Drake sword until I obtained the Lightning spear in Sens Fortress. It became my weapon of choice even after I got the Quelag Furysword. For most boss battles I used the pyro fire spells though. And er, most of the time I run around naked

is it a good idea to upgrade lightning spear the 1 from sens fortress? i just found out with that weapon you can block & attack sametime >.>

I upgraded it to +5 and used it until end of the game

well after i started using the lightning spear i felt i wasted my str at 29 >.>

I am doing my second playthrough now, and the double bosses in Anor Londo give me no chance at all

Try summon Knight Solaire and re-startegize which boss to kill 1st..., think defeat the thin one would be easier, just my 2cents... lol

i have started my second play through as a sorcerer, i would like to say sorcerer is so much easier compare to first time playing as a war/pyro. im around 2hours in game stop at moonlight butterfly boss.

just started the game seriously over the weekend
built a thief for his master key, later updated the stats become a warrior
the online wiki sure helps a lot, got my flask +2 by doing suicide run to grab those early firekeeper souls
just got my drake sword also

but also got me ass kick by first invasion, crap... dunno what that guy use, didn't see any movement but he knock me down even with with my shield up, and drained all my stamina
then while i was drinking from the flask, he backstabbed me, and I died

btw, those NPC you encountered in the games, do you kill them all?
I saw some hints asking me to back stab one of them, the one looking at the sun before the bridge drake.

Try not to kill the NPCs. They are there for a reason. The guy looking at the sun is one of the NPCs you can summon to aid you during certain boss battles.

During my first incomplete playthrough, I killed several NPCs including blacksmith Andre before Darkroot garden. I couldn't upgrade my weapons and decided to replay the game.

it is not recommended to kill those NPC unless you are planning for NG+ i kill all NPC & kindle all bon fire b4 i enter the last boss fog gate so i have around +6 estus flask, i rescue the firekeeper at firelink shrine

saw one hint at a clift with 31 rating asking me to jump, n i actually jumped n killed myself.

Added on February 14, 2012, 8:28 ammanaged to kill the twin gargoyle single-handed last night after dying 4 times without knowing you can summon the sunray knight to assist you in the fight
rang the first bell
this game is getting more n more addictive than I expected, sucking more n more time from my sleep time
without knowing it, it's already 1:30AM last night when i check, was originally planned to play for 1 hour only at 11pm

btw... it has been a long long time since I had this satisfied feeling after beating a tough enemy
