i've installed my two hdd cooler fans. now my seagate temp has dropped from 38C to 32C. My maxtor (master) dropped only 2C but still below 40C, around 35-37C. Today's very hot so it's around 37C right now. the two fans are generic cheapo china mari coolers but perfectly silent. i don't notice any noise increase at all.

no wonder i cannot find any ibm hardrive anymore... been away from computer's hardware world for some time now... yeah right.. IBM deskstar and Hitachi Deskstar... silly me...

i think i've made the right move to buy ibm = hitachi... cant wait for my new 250 GB deskstar.... my 40 gb IBM deskstar still up and running after 5 years (bought 2000)... thumbup.gif

if you ask me.... go for Hitachi (IBM).... hassle free hardrive (at least for me)...

not too close lah. got one HDD space seperate them. very strange. the HDD now which is hotter now become cooler now when i use it as a primary boot. biggrin.gif

Sorry , out topic about the temp.
I am planning to buy a new hard disk , when i ask the shop that i plan to buy WD hard disk , that shop guy telling me WD no good , Maxtor good because maxtor is under Seagate company.
After that i ask how much if i want to buy WD 250GB 8mb he say Rm320 , then i ask Seagate 250GB 8mb he say Rm340 .
I am confuse already rclxub.gif , but i see lowyat pdf price list sata so cheap with less than Rm300 can buy 250GB.
Can someone guide me please

I live in perak , non of the store selling seagate. I don't have any friends travel to KL , hard to buy.Price here very expensive.Redcom didn't see seagate , and other maxtor price extremely High for sata.Really out of idea and I can't go to kl.
Anyone ipoh people here can tell me where i can buy like cheaper even Rm299 also ok for sata 250 seagate ?

i think better u wait for pc fair loo.. if failure/other prob.. how ?

instead of 250gb.. add rm50 can get 320 GB loo.. brows.gif

I hope there's no failure , hope i can wait until dec pc fair.Really don't know why price at perak just 200km can be like range Rm50 more.I can even count not more than 10 computer shop at my area.
I just scare the hard disk price will increase such as ram price.Later I really need to go kl and buy.

i posted sometime ago that my bro's drives died. anyway he rma'ed the samsung and samsung gave him a brand new one. maxtor not yet...
