i think no one mention this earlier... tricks(???) for longer lifespan of a hdisk... --for noobie-- 1) at least got 10% free space in the hdisk/ partition (my lecture aso told this) 2) don't remove your hdisk and travel it house by house to copy movie etc.. ) *this one me aso do.. and my old hdisk begin to crap.. 3) shut down the pc if no use.. #that is due to my experience since 2002 ..bring on if i'm wrong.. i think this topic should be more specific.. good harddisk.. emm.. better focus for sata one,or new pata(still exist in market).. not the one that have long2 time ago.. (what for - r we want to buy the old ver one).. newer ver got newer features(speed, space etc).. and different from previous old one.. since time by time, years by years their performance of produce good harddisk going up n down.. just my 2 cents...
