im planning to buy notebook hdd, which is quiet. my hdd ( toshiba) in laptop makes a lot of noise. which hdd notebook is the best?

i think maybe you can go for Seagate or WD, or Samsung..... sweat.gif
there is not other hdd manufacturer...
do not know is hitachi and other hdd exist or not... doh.gif

i never try Sumsung hdd before...
and i did tried WD only which has SMART error doh.gif

toshiba nb hdd is welel know of it nb hdd failure ler, better choose other like nb hdd like wd, seagate or samsung.

guys,need opinion here...

i got seagate 40gb.work time for this hdd already 11mth.40gb is too small for me now so i need to buy bigger hdd..so,i'm confusing which 1 should i choose because my budget is below rm300...

option 1:
buy seagate 160gb=rm290
total money spend=rm290

option 2:
buy seagate 200gb=rm325
sell my 40gb=market price ard rm80~rm100
total money spend:~rm250

my target is 200gb and my mobo only support pata...

hope u guys can give opinions abt this.thx...

i think you should go for 200GB, since oyu need a large capacity hdd.
additional RM35 you will get 40GB...
