Not necessarily true.. Ur tyre can slide/drift without making screeching noise also.. It's better to feel the threshold urself rather than relying on noise. Sometimes u push a wee bit too far, then ur car spin.

The other day i was at Kesas heading to Shah Alam.. This Maser GT was in front of me.. On straights i cant even catch up with him at all, damn fast, manatau that fella come to the corner he brake so hard wei.. Speed dropped to below 100kmh.. I coming like rocket from behind had to ebrake while cornering somemore, mahai whole car floating then can see Death Note ghost waving at me.. After the corner that Maser tekan kaw kaw speed away again.. I chased it then when come to a gentle corner cut it using inner lane.. Soha1 driver.

I'm talkin bout the texture of the road. A newly paved road is smoother, even with new tyres 17 inch cornering on a new road also there'll be sound. But if u do the same with botak slicks on a rough road, u won't get any screeching like that..

Newly tarred road dont have so good traction as a bit worn out road..
