Just arrived JB from seremban.. For 277km, cruising at constant speed of 110kmh using cruise control at the highway, and 80kmh from skudai toll to larkin , using Caltex95, it cost me RM31.15... And I'm happy with it..

QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Oct 10 2011, 03:11 AM) Where got cheaper? Petrol RM31.15, Toll RM33.30, Nescafe Classic RM2.30, altogether RM 66.75.. If take bus only RM26.00 plus cab RM10.00.. The only thing that makes me prefer driving is because I'm not attached to the bus schedule and I can start moving whenever I wanted to.. |

QUOTE(RokXIII @ Oct 16 2011, 12:59 AM) The next service for my Persona is 80K, and i believe this is the major service where i need to change the timing belt. Change outside definitely will be cheaper.. But be careful when buying the timing belt.. Make sure its the original wan..if i bring it back to Proton SC and do the service, how much they will charge? does it cost much cheaper if i change the timing belt outside? |

QUOTE(RokXIII @ Oct 16 2011, 01:11 AM) actually im still doing the service in the Proton SC (every 10K), so i guess i will still going back to them for the 80K service. My PE warranty is for 50k KM or 2years.. Maybe u opt for the extended warranty perhaps? I guess, if its still under warranty, might be void as u have not follow the suggested service stated in the service booklet..so if i just do other services, like changing the engine oil, filter, gear oil, etc... and exclude changing the timing belt, will it void the warranty? |

QUOTE(muslayer @ Oct 19 2011, 02:05 PM) it was me.. well.. i bought the full set, Big-D, Small-D and P-Shaped..from what i see, its totally useless for a new car, in fact, it worsen the noise.. the original rubber at our door is actually doing good its job good enough.. i thought, after install that additional rubber, can eliminates the sound like 100% one.. but its actually not that what ive expected it to be.. the rubber was actually making the door harder to be closed.. have to bang hard.. and when it closed, now the gap is larger compared with before installation.. well i guess, for vehicles which is more than 2 years and frequently park under hot sun may benefit from the extra rubber.. but definitely not a new car.. in the end, i just use the P-shaped wan to install at the bottom side of the door so that excess water wont come in.. what a waste of money.. p/s : oh yeah, if anyone wanna ask, the answer is "no, i didn't install it wrongly.. its the seller who installed it for me himself, exactly like he installed it at his car.." btw his car is persona-se.. but hey, if anyone wanna try to install, by all means, carry on, maybe the result is different.. as for me, ive already take out the rubber and being happy with the oem rubber.. |
