Have you tried reflashing without data wipe? it should fix the problem, and indeed it is weird

something weird bout my cam.. can zoom by 6x.. but when picture has been snap, it snap with no zoom.. adei.. had to explain.. huhuhu..

Go to Settings -> Call Setting and check "Always use proximity"
Also try and uncheck "Keep screen awake" if any. That should solve the issue

Hmm, I can confirm that seems like the camera can't shoot anything over 1x zoom. Camera360 also won't zoom. Thanks for the bug report bro, will fix it on future update

i got question here ? how to use APP2sd or S2E? tried but it gve me FC =.= why ? *already partition to ext3*

First you need to fix SD permission via ROM manager, then you can use either S2E or link2SD, i recommend link2SD as it allows u to choose which app to move to SD ext partition. Also you can use swapper 2 for swap, you can either use partition for swap or even a "file" similar to pagefile.sys in windows.

I'm facing the same problem too. Reflashed from Phantom Sky Rev v1 back to 2.1, then using Clockworkmod Recovery, clean/wipe everything and flash to MyGingerB. Now got orientation problem when in 90 and 270 degree (it will turn the other way round). This happen also when using camera. If I take photo with my phone in potrait position, it will be upsidedown when viewing in landscape position and vice versa. Anyway to fix this?

Also, if i use the Ubuntu kernal, will it save on the battery juice?

why sometime my wifi is not working well,

let say, I on the wifi and it scan for the network but not found (although my friend phone can detect the wifi) and then my wifi turn off by itself.

need to reboot for a couple of time to get the wifi working perfectly.

any idea how to solve this?

hmm, it might be kernel problem, you can try flashing ubuntu kernel and see if the problem persist, MYGingerB support any kernel for z71 variant out there so ubuntu kernel by edgar will also be supported, and with better battery life some reported.

Wifi problem are mostly caused by kernel, have you tried flashing other kernel and see if it fixes the problem? I've tried both SuperAOSP and Edgar ubuntu kernel (from CM7 V6), ubuntu kernel does provide better wifi stability I believe.

juz 4 info,been using this rom for a while,but never got problem like u guys say,are u all sure u flash this rom properly?

bout the camera,eventhough rom or apps support zooming,clearly mi300 only has webcam,so zooming is not recommended(confirmed by csl and spice)

bout the wifi,if u guys use it while charging( not recommended) mi300 will got a problem with wifi.but if u're a extreme wifi user,switching from AOSP to ubuntu is the solution.

bout the kernel,i believe AOSP allow overclock up to 800 mhz,but considering mi300, overclock over 700 is far than more for an extreme user.so if u treasure ur fone,think b4 overclocking.

bout the orientation or problem right after flashing,try flash ur rom from cm7.1 stable(see boston mania),everytime i try flash from phantom or stock rom.problems will occur with this rom.and dont forget to reset,clear dalvik cache and clear cache partition b4 flashing,and of course battery stat.using kernel from cm eav 6 kernel also recommended.

all i'm saying here is juz 4 info,no offense to anyone.i been using at least 6 different roms with record of 60 times flashing/updating roms(especially cm mod),problem only occur if u guys mess up while flashing.so please read carefully b4 flashing,and 4 angelictears,please give a complete guide here on how to flash ur rom starting from stock rom and modified rom.

Hmm, not yet, but I read that there's a problem about the kernel over at AndroidPT, and shorter battery life, I'm currently waiting for any stable AOSP 2.6.35.x kernel out there for z71 variant. I have also have the source code for the kernel, but I have no enough space for compiling the kernel right now, MYgingerB Source + Compiling easily reach 20GB now on my 80GB HDD.. saving up for a new HDD now

Hmm... I think maybe have to flash to cm7.1 stable and see whether all the problem will solve. Can I flash directly to cm7.1 stable or do i need to flash back to 2.1 rom first?

currently on EA#11 Kernel. At first got touch screen problem. Then phone auto shut down (I use my phone as alarm clock so this morning no alarm. luckily still able to wake up for appointment). Now after reboot touch screen no problem, orientation problem still not solve, trackball wake up sometime can sometime cannot. Wifi no problem. GPS can use but need to use GPS fix to login first.

Have you tried this one?
