Thanks bro, good to know that the project goes well biggrin.gif
I can't be sure on how kernel reacts with my ROM, as both SuperAOSP and Ubuntu #3 are not develop by me.
Althoug hthe 987 score in your quadrant are good enough for everyday usage, when I used Ubuntu #3 recently, I got an average score of 968 in quadrant, that's why I convert to SuperAOSP, as you can see below

MyGingerB CellPatch release plan next week.
MyGingerB CellPatch is basically a patch, where users can update the core of MyGingerB ROM without reflash/reformat/wipe. So user can enjoy updates without even need to reflash and loose data. More info on the dev blog.

MyGingerB CellPatch1 :
- Increase internet throughput speed
- Hardware accelerated UI/Video
- EXT4 performance increase
- Smoother animation
- Overall multitasking management core revamp
- and more to come smile.gif

Added on October 21, 2011, 12:02 pmOwh and tip of the day,
Use No Frills CPU for better control. After installing, set minimum CPU clock to 480MHz to prevent music stuttering. Also set I/O scheduler to "noop" instead of deadline, SD card speed boost as easy as that smile.gif

Owh, try and disable USB debugging under Setting -> Application -> Development
Most ROM have problem when trying to mount sd card when USB debugging is enabled.
The space limit depends on what launcher you used, mi300 usually have a limited space of 4x4 for home screen widgets.

Thanks for the feedback of the camera bro smile.gif Will look into it later on.

@angelictears wanna make ice cream sandwich when it was available? jz saw the system req, think u cn handle it?

ICS will be a much larger release than any previous Android release. That means that it will also put a much bigger strain on the machines that people use to compile it. As a rule of thumb, everything about ICS in AOSP will be about twice as large as it was for Gingerbread.

Here are some preliminary numbers. Final numbers will probably be a bit different, but those should be a reasonable first-order
approximation. Of course, your mileage may vary.
6GB of download.
25GB disk space to do a single build.
80GB disk space to build all AOSP configs at the same time.
16GB RAM recommended, more preferred, anything less will measurably
benefit from using an SSD.
5+ hours of CPU time for a single build, 25+ minutes of wall time, as
measured on my workstation (dual-E5620 i.e. 2x quad-core 2.4GHz HT,
with 24GB of RAM, no SSD).

Naturally, if you plan to work on multiple branches (e.g. ICS release, ICS development branch and AOSP master branch), you need to plan for disk space accordingly, and you could easily end up using 250+GB.

I just read it...
Yeah, I think I'm gonna need a new hard drive for that. sad.gif
My current Mygingerb takes 16GB from my 20GB ubuntu partition, from a total of 80GB of my laptop HDD, lol.
My desktop also filled with other project, even that have only 30GB left..hmm.. Hope I'm going to have enough funding for a new 500GB hard drive soon enough.

Do you have the 2.1 rom or link to it? I download from CSL Sabah facebook site but it's a "Mi300_2.1.rar" file and it's a setup for SUTL. There is no *.nb0 file inside so don't know how to flash back. Pls help. Thanks.

run the sutlr setup and while the setup running go to program files and find the folder that contain the nbo files,i forget the name of the folder but u will find it quite easy as the setup only create a temporary file in program files, copy the nbo while the setup is running as when the setup finished, the nbo will dissapear

Added on October 23, 2011, 1:57 amhi again.sorry to bother but bout the 'cannot connect to camera' problem is a hardware error.not really sure, still on investigation.mi300 fone hav a temperature problem.if ur play games or activate the wifi for a long time, make sure ur fone doesnt overheat coz it will effect the sensitivity of the camera.
juz cool down ur fone or reboot fix the camera cannot connect problem.

I will include a fix later on. However I noticed that the market problem occurs seldom over time and seems that it is often occurs on the first week from the date you flashed the ROM. I think there's a problem with the Google market sync.

CellPatch is basically a patch/update. Much like a PC software for example, users can patch/update the ROM without wiping or data lose. Although CellPatch will not update any part of the Kernel.
It work basically the same as flashing a new kernel, no data wipe what so ever, but instead of kernel, it update core script and even settings to provide fixes and tweaks.

It's already there smile.gif
Go to Setting -> Cyanogenmod Setting -> Input -> Trakeball wake smile.gif
Most of the setting that you will need can be found at Setting -> Cyanogenmod Setting.

hmm, not sure about that.. I always thought that doing data wipe (wiping the /data partition), dalvik cache wipe (dalvik-cache partition/file) and battery stat wipe does erase all user data. Although some ROM flash script (*.zip file) does contain another wipe, the EXT / SD-EXT wipe which wipe all the contents of the EXT partition for app. That's much about it I guess.

Hmm, currently MyGingerB does not support the feature, and no plans to add the feature yet as I am currently developing most of the core code for stability. If all of that are finished then I will add some minor tweaks such as call key wake. Other then that I am getting ready for Ice cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), wish I had some fundings to buy a new HDD. sad.gif

Added on October 24, 2011, 12:05 amFor an update.
MYgingerB had its first review at www.ubiquitense.com. visit here for details.
And MyGingerB already have 346 activation for the past 7 days, thanks for the support guys biggrin.gif
