Yup correct. That's why I get 1 impact tool is enough.

Drilling metal cannot use impact mode as is easily spoil the drill bit. Metal drill bit is only HSS material.

as i said wood working ma.. use two in combination.. pre drill before u insert screw. so that u dont damage the wood.

its a 2 step process.. u dont switch between the drill and screw bit.. every minute

FYI,
last time i purchased a cordless drill SKIL 2414 10.8V, price around RM200 with two speed and 15 clutch
its more recommended compared to Black & Decker
recently i tried to drill hole on my living room wall and walla! its work! biggrin.gif
successfully hanged my 42" TV and 80" large mirror

The battery after 3 yrs still good. This was my main concern too when it comes to any rechargeble batteries. this drill will do well for domestic use except drilling on metal (small metal holes still ok).

Just wonder why type and brand of the grease that you all used for the SDS plus drill bit? Some people said the petroleum based grease will damage the plastic or rubber of the chuck.

Actually, I have checked with Makita, 181490-7 is for crank housing. Bit grease for rotary hammer chuck is 181573-3, but not sure where can buy. Makita grease 181490-7 is much easier to get, can find it in hardware shops and Makita authorized service centres.

Nothing wrong with my previous statement. If you check Makita Malaysia website, you will find the name of the shop as their authorized service centre. That shop sells both Makita and Bosch power tools.

I went there with intention to buy Makita bit grease 181573-3, but they only have Makita grease 181490-7 and Bosch grease 1 615 430 010.
