The cash rebate is only for AMEX and only for weekends swipe. Please read the product disclosure before asking this kind of information.

Definitely worse. It's a safe enough assumption.

Yeah, I just looked back at my records and did some rough analysis.

It seems Mastercard has a surcharge about 0.8% - 1.0% on top of the forex rate. Whereas Amex is 2.6% - 2.9% surcharge! So you get billed higher in RM with Amex and I guess this is where they can afford to give you 5x TP. So my conclusion is that for Internet transactions the Amex 5x TP is only a very marginal benefit.

Above is not how the 5% works. Minimum payment should be 5% x RM2300  = RM115 and whatever balance will be imposed interest every single day including whatever amount posted to your account thereafter.

Just pay amount stated as Outstanding Balance and you won't get charge interest. If you just pay 5% minimum, better not have a credit card because you are living beyond your means (and that includes going with 0% EPP or whatever installment plans).

i know i know. but i just wan to know the interest count, well, so far i settle my outstanding every single time (although still new) smile.gif
as i understand:
5% from total outstanding + interest (if no carry forward = no interest) + installment = minimum payment
if after due, the total outstanding will be charges interest (right?) + all transaction thereafter will be charged interest as well

but i just want to know whether the outstanding get charges?

reason i want to know:
worry, *touchwood* if one day,as the emergency fund that i build up might not enough to cover, hence some of the expenses that need to carry forward for next month statement

All balance on the card will get changed compounded interest on daily basis if statement balance is not cleared by due date (plus 3 days grace period to take into account delayed payment methods).

If you need more details, the Wikipedia article on credit cards is more than enough to give you a good idea on how things work.

Hi guys,

Need to ask about the MSOS on the Master/Visa online transaction security thingy. This feature does not require us to register, right? (Means this feature by default already implemented to all MBB cards)

Just weird when I went Apple Store bought something with my MBB2 card buy but didn't have this security pop out?

Hmm...

Edited typo.

I needed to register mine. Tried to book a room through Genting website and it stated that I needed to register my MSOS before proceeding. So I just gave Maybank a call and within 2 minutes, the MSOS is registered and few minutes later, a SMS was sent to my phone to confirm the registration of the MSOS.

Does Apple Store website implement Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCocde first? If no, then it won't pop up for MSOS.
