Please convert your ATM card to the new PIN-enabled OCBC Debit Card before it expires on 31/12/17. Visit any OCBC branch today.

Is it ok that I choose not to change my OCBC ATM card to a OCBC debit card, as I do not want to pay RM 8.48 annual fee? Or, does OCBC offer basic saving account without annual fee?

Yes, I currently have this Easi-Save saving account.

Still, the debit card annual fee will be imposed from the second year onwards. Is there any way to prevent the debit card annual fee from being incurred from the second year onwards?

I afraid that OCBC will forcefully deactivate the OCBC ATM cards next year.

Hi, was curious about the China union pay debit card.
I saw for example, PB one have mydebit features, let say I want to use CUP card in Malaysia, is that the transaction based on RM? AFAIK, the CUP are based on dual currency which is in RM and CNY.

Secondly, is possible to use CUP card in taobao? As they can accept CUP card if I'm not mistaken

Hi smile.gif
I am an European national, often traveling to Malaysia to enjoy life there during my holidays.
I am going to be there 2 months July to August and I wish to know if anyone knows of any bank or financial institution offering a PREPAID debit card Visa or Mastercard. As bank wouldn't let me open an account, and I don't want to go around with cash the whole time.
Not to mention is not wise to withdraw by my foreign CC/DC due to the silly exchange rates and fees...
Any hint?

I am not sure on how long will it take to have the card in hand but since prepaid cards in Malaysia do not require your name to be embossed on the card then I think it will be issued to you right after going through the application/ documentation process. That's my guess, I maybe wrong because I never used prepaid cards cause it's too expensive for me.

I don't think you should buy the prepaid card from the Superbuy website, I feel it's suspicious because if you try to own a prepaid card you will need to have your identity verified by the bank and since superbuy isn't a bank you might be buying a non usable card. If I were you I buy it through Maybank themselves by walking to any Maybank branches to ensure usability of the card.
