anyone managed to get uob debit card without paying one time fee and annual fee? i went to uob to apply for a non fee bsa with debit card but the staff told me even if bsa i still need to pay the annual fee.

got an email from uob that they will be giving cashback for spendings on their debit cards for another 3 months. i have spent for july and august but yet to receive any cashback.

have anyone gotten cashbacks from previous promo? how long did you have to wait?

i know the tnc. imho, it's vague and very much to their favor. see no. 26.

spent during the last promo and didnt receive any cashback, so wondering if it's a good idea to try again this time.

does anyone know why whenever a debit card is used, the transaction date recorded is always 2 days later? i have seen this issue with uob and now with pbb. is it true that debit card transaction in malaysia does not capture transaction date and the posting date is taken as transaction?

this is very puzzling because i have used debit card from abroad before and what i have been experiencing in malaysia seems to be out of the norm.

i believe it depends on the mcc code used by lazada. if it is one of the quasi cash merchant codes, then it is considered as cash advance.

then need to check what is the mcc code used by alipay. if alipay uses a mcc code that reflects the nature of business of lazada, then chances are the code may not be quasi-cash.

anybody got pbb petron debit card? can walk into a branch to apply and get on-the-spot?
