Hi smile.gif
I am an European national, often traveling to Malaysia to enjoy life there during my holidays.
I am going to be there 2 months July to August and I wish to know if anyone knows of any bank or financial institution offering a PREPAID debit card Visa or Mastercard. As bank wouldn't let me open an account, and I don't want to go around with cash the whole time.
Not to mention is not wise to withdraw by my foreign CC/DC due to the silly exchange rates and fees...
Any hint?

@byron: yes I tried to purchase the card through Superbuy, but though it's shown that card is in stock, when I put it in my cart, I see this:

I don't think you should buy the prepaid card from the Superbuy website, I feel it's suspicious because if you try to own a prepaid card you will need to have your identity verified by the bank and since superbuy isn't a bank you might be buying a non usable card. If I were you I buy it through Maybank themselves by walking to any Maybank branches to ensure usability of the card.

Thank you very much for your great help!
As soon as I will be there I will try my chances at RHB and Maybank HQ smile.gif
Really appreciated! thumbup.gif

I'm a foreigner (European) coming often to KL for holidays (I love your country guys!).
To my (bad) surprise, when I came back this time, I found out that Maybank prepaid ManU card had some policies changed.
Among those: 1) Cannot withdraw deposited money (Why??) And 2) I'm not able to make deposit on my card!
Until last August I simply went to CDM or ATM/CDM and follow the usual procedure. Now it seems that can deposit only on CDM machines and... They're discontinuing it!!!
Their suggestion? Ask to some Malaysian friend to transfer to your card and you give cash to him.
Not really professional...
So here I am with a card I paid for and.cant use... Arrgh.
Any suggestions?

Thanks. There's no mention about changes in deposit procedures though.
And an email would have been more useful as people don't happen to visit Maybank website.every each other day...

The next time you're here, goto their branch and demand they refund the money to you. Or request to speak to the branch manager if they are not helpful enough.

Thanks for your suggestion 👍ðŸŧ
Actually I only would like to load the card, and even branch manager have failed to tell me why I can't load the card like I always did ðŸĪŠ

If you haven't load any money into the card, then cybpsych has already given you the answer.

You were saying that you can't withdraw deposited money.....

Yep I done it already, I will just give up on the card as they don't have solutions. Thx
