hi guys, somebody from the uk had used my card number to purchase tsomething from stubhub and connect by hertz worth around RM1900. maybank alreadly called me and told me to change my debit card and fill the dispute form and fax it to the dispute dept. already did all that last week..

my question is, how long does it take to process my dispute form and for them to refund my money?

anyone has any experience with this kind of problem?

Anyone knows if any of the local debit cards support Address Verification System (AVS)?

Kinda seems to me that the Public Bank Day2Day debit card doesn't support it.

Not that I'm aware of.
Most of the debit cards run by CVV/CVV2/TAC?? for verification.

Banks' exchange rate are usually higher. I'm not sure if there are any charges included but I won't be surprised if I was billed RM18 for 5 USD.

Say you have RM100 in your bank, and you just purchased groceries with a merchant via debit card, total cost : RM25.
If you instantly check through Maybank2u, you'll get

Hold amount: RM25 (You initiate a transaction with merchant and they hold d amount to pay the merchant)
Current Balance : RM100
Available balance : RM75

Current balance should be tally with available balance most of the time. The above example indicates a scenario where the system has yet to update itself.

Correct me if im wrong,

Your first time making online purchase using cimb debit card? I was having problem buying stuff on Play Store few days ago, I called their customer service and was told that from 11:30PM - 3:30AM, debit card won't work. So I waited until 4AM and the transaction went through without a hitch.

I don't really remember if need to activate the debit card for online purchase or not but you can call their customer service (1 300 880 900) for more info.
