What did you expect from the spec? I expected faster shutter and higher ISO 

well, if you want faster FPS, you have to go for the lower MP camera.
look at the D3s and D3x cameras...

your choice of camera will not be the D800 (if 36MP is right)
you choice will be the D4 (which is for the sport photographers during the olympic 2012 and european cup 2012)
