Yeah, my D90 still with me. At times I prefer the crop from DX for tele. 200mm on FX is just... short.
Yes can fit my 10" netbook and also my iPad in both orientation. RM200 is kinda tight though for a backpack. RM30 or RM50, asked this Q during the Hei Mian seminar previously... but they don't do it on weekends Well, guess that depends on your nego skill with the shop. But most shops don't do that since its all bundled. Even if give discount I guess maybe RM10~RM20 only?
How much u bought it for? U have any idea for the price of V2?
Yes, I have a UD35 v1. It is able to fit in my 10" netbook. It might be able to fit 13"... not so sure about that. My 10" netbook goes in horizontally, maybe a 13" MBA can go in vertically. But if vertical it also accept until certain height because when storing a DSLR + grip, a portion will be folded.
My 2 cents, if you are buying the bag for travel I suggest don't attach your grip. Sending in my SB900 to repair and also D90+MB-D80 to change the rubber grip >_< Hopefully by next week can get back my flash and D90.
I also need to send my d90 + sb900 for the rubber thing replacement. The one on sb900 head drop off while i was in korea 2 weeks back
IIRC last time i ask nikon BTS, the rubber thumb grip on back on D90 cost RM35, the port door RM45 and battery grip rubber is RM75
im new to photography and keen on buying Nikon camera. i read some review in google and PM few sifus but no response from them. thats y im here. this is the 1st DSLR im getting and in dilemma which one should i get. im now looking forward D5100 and D90 due to budget tight. i know every camera there's pros and cons even for new one.
so im here to ask sifus comments and opinions about the 2 mention above. thanks in advance!

Well I m no sifu, if u compare between D5100 and D90, I suggest u get the D5100 cause it's has better ISO and has the same sensor as D7000. It can record full HD video too.
Maybe the D90 has superior built quality and a separate mono LCD for viewing the setting and more dedicated button to access to the setting. Also the D90 has a motor on the body.

picture is warm, angle wise...i think you can improve by position at higher angle
yeah, i used the natural light at that time, made it slightly warmer from the original, angle wise, i wanted to get the wine rack background as that's one of the signature of the establishment.

For that level of bokeh I can't even tell the background is a wine rack lol! Should have use lower aperture with higher iso?

haha, correct, i didn't want it to be too focused, just the dots off the bottles. Was thinking of using this picture as a feature picture in the brochure/menu/flyers
Other pictures would be more focused on the food/plate/tablewares , typical menu like picutres....
still trying to improve my technique, maybe i capture pictures as the way i cook them.....
trying to get familiar with the lightroom editing tools.....
Tomato Mozzarella wrapped with Grilled Aubergine layers, drizzled with Aged Balsamic Basil infused Vinegrette
the picture is slanted slightly. ur focus ran abit? got any AF assist light? as ppl said closing down the aperture abit more is nicer so can get more of the food in the focus range. or possibly shoot from further back with a zoom lens instead of going so close. would be nicer if the wine bottle was turned abit more to camera right, so can see the logo brand more, thats assuming its a brand worth to be seen.
