Problem solved. Turned out I need to update my ROS firmware lol. Btw my E398 keep disconnecting. I see the log it said "ppp-out1: terminating... -peer is not responding. what is the problem? Does my E398 doesnt have enough power?

Bought this WD My Cloud 2TB recently, http://wd.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=1140

Was thinking to change my standard DLINK router to Mikrotick for my UNIFI 10MB so that it can utilize the WD My Cloud

Wanna ask you guys' experience, which Mikrotik suits me the best? smile.gif
- need for streaming
- need for IP camera setup too

Noted with thanks! Is my unit's LCD faulty or it's a known issue for this model?

Did the model's LCD display Mikrotik logo when boot up? If yes the router's LCD is ok, new ver. of ROUTEROS maybe buggy to the LCD.

ya, no problem. didn't use it long enough to know if there is problem though because I've updated to ver6.5 right away. It was working at first, but no response the next day.

How do I downgrade to older version? Can't seem to find the downloads to older versions.

Try reset back to default configuration maybe u can get back the LCD to work.
There will be a risk to downgrade the os, but it can be done.

http://www.mikrotik.com/download
- choose mipsbe for your router model.

One more concern:
I'm feeling this headache ever since I started using the RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN. It's located less than 2 meters away from my desk where I usually spend my hours doing computing there.

I don't have this problem when I was using TP-Link WDR4300 located less than 1 meter away. Is there a way to reduce the transmit power of the Mikrotik router?

Anybody else have this issue?

thanks for your guide. I'm using WebFig v6.5 and your screenshots don't look familiar. Are you access it via Winbox or other channel? Anyway, I'll look through the menus again.

It is from Winbox. The settings can also be accessed from webfig as shown below:-

Try to use winbox instead of webfig, it is more convenience. You can access mikrotik thru its MAC address using winbox, instead of webfig you cant do that.

Btw I got this problem when try to access 192.168.88.1/user. My hotspot customer want to change their login password. I am using ROS v6.5.
