bro Greg, my situation is something like this:

scenario A: i have 10k capital, and my loss is 2k now so i left 8k.

scenario B: 1 have 10k capital but i earned 5k in previous years. and because of the red market i loss 2k. so u r not losing your capital.

so these are the diference.

Capital preservation is always key in the case of highly volatile call warrant trading where you will ultimately lose all your investments if the timing is bad. Since all call warrants has some sort of lifetime attached to it. But for stocks which is built on stronger fundamentals, they might suffer depreciation but not complete loss.

So for stocks, the main reason for cut loss is to ensure your 'capital' as in your funds can be re-invested to the market at a more appropriate time to make a profit again. It does not necessarily mean your initial capital when you first started but instead your ability to continue the fight another day. If you did not cut loss, you might be in a less advantageous position (less funds) to re-enter a favorable trade in the future when the market is up.

can i ask a question here?

since we always said that "Don't lose the capital", so shd we cash out to preserve our capital instead of letting it decreases gradually. I know some our our sifus/sijies here are just lossing the profits which they earn previously. But i'm referring to the condition where i'm not lossing the profit but i'm losing my capital. Besides, my condition is i dont have extra bullets to avg down.

thank you for any advice, recommendation and suggestions.

p/s: i know some sifus/sijies think it's not good to give advice like this. but i really hope to listen to some advice. your recommendation will not lead to my selling/buying decision, don't worry.
*
i am no expert but if i were u i will cash out to preserve the capital first.

Yea, in market, there is up and there is down.

It is how you capitalized the downside, and "abused" the upside later on smile.gif

Now, faster get more capital.. And get ready for the big cashing in.
