QUOTE(MEngineer @ Nov 28 2011, 08:41 AM) After the untethered jailbreak then the wait is on Siri to be released to iPhone 4. By the way there is a new cydia app to allow Siri dictation. After that wait for iPhone 5 then it goes in a loop. Anyone using tethered jailbreak don't mind trying this so call siri0us..http://www.tipb.com/2011/11/28/siri-dictat...ydia-jailbreak/ Wanna know the review if nice then I will go jb my iPhone now... |

QUOTE(cyian @ Nov 28 2011, 08:25 PM) Yes... tethered.I have semi tethered installed but when i reboot it still stays in apple logo until i boot tethered. so far so good... just make sure you have a portable battery pack or case to prevent any power outage. |

QUOTE(s3an_looi @ Nov 28 2011, 08:26 PM) Yes... tethered. You need to check once in awhile whether the semi tethered is applied successfully. You can do this by opening the semi tethered app to check. If the semi tethered fails just fix it in the app option. I have semi tethered installed but when i reboot it still stays in apple logo until i boot tethered. so far so good... just make sure you have a portable battery pack or case to prevent any power outage. For me semi tethered works as it should. So rebooting will only lose jb apps and safari. |

QUOTE(rizfield @ Nov 28 2011, 08:37 PM) a quick newbie question Its depends whether they have the patch for current semi tethered JB or not. if i already did a semi tethered jb, when the untethered is out, what are my options? just do a jb again with redsnow to apply the untethered? or? im stuck with semi tethered? thx For instance, last time we had tethered JB on 4.2.1 via redsn0w. Later on after few months developers came out with limera1n & greenp0ison. Just patched the tethered JB by running limera1n or greenp0ison did the trick. It was'nt required us to restore or update to latest version whatsoever. So my answer to your question is still depends. |

iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak tutorial
![]() The latest version of Redsn0w, which is 0.9.9b8, can tether jailbreaking the iOS 5.0.1. However, before proceeding, there are a few points users must be aware of. In a recent tweet, iOS hacker @pod2g warned users saying that those still waiting for an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5, should not upgrade to iOS 5.0.1. "Note about 5.0.1: don't update if you plan on jbking : the bug Charlie MILLER found can simplify exploits dramatically and will be closed," he tweeted. According to reports, no method has been figured out yet to downgrade to iOS 5. Hence, if you upgrade to iOS 5.0.1, you might lose the chance of a potentially untethered jailbreak for iOS 5. For those who already have iOS 5.0.1 running on their devices and wish to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1, here are the steps: Read more (Video tutorial inside)... |

Apple Seeds iOS 5.1 Beta to Developers
QUOTE Apple has just seeded iOS 5.1 Beta to developers, a little over a month after releasing iOS 5. As most of you are aware, the software was crippled right out of the gate with a number of issues, including poor battery performance and Wi-Fi problems. Two weeks ago, Apple finally released iOS 5.0.1 to the public, after multiple betas. The new software was supposed to patch the battery bug, but the company later admitted that it didn’t completely resolve the issue. Will iOS 5.1 finally fix these flaws? We don’t know yet actually, we can’t access the changelog. All we know is that the 5.1 Beta is available for the above-listed devices, and must be installed using iTunes 10.5. We also know that you can’t downgrade once you’ve upgraded, so jailbreakers beware. It’s interesting that Apple skipped iOS 5.0.2 and went straight to 5.1. Typically, Apple uses tenth-place-only software (4.1, 4.2, 4.3) to incorporate new features. Maybe it is finally going to unveil iOS 5′s hidden Panorama picture mode or FaceTime over 3G. Do you have a developer account? Make sure to let us know if you see any changes. sos: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2011/11/28/ap...s-ios-5-1-beta/ can't downgrade again.. hmm.. |
