QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Oct 30 2011, 10:44 PM) I don't have iOS 5 yet. Those who has it with jb can try and give reviews here got a three day trial in cydia This is FREAKING AWESOME! Siri successfully ported to Iphone 4 and Ipod 4th gen with it running smoothly and connected to Apple server. Detailed information on how the port was performed will be released after the iPhone 4S jailbreak is released |

iOS 5.01 has been release. Is it still possible to update to iOS 5 from 4.3.3?

QUOTE(lieck @ Nov 11 2011, 08:46 AM) Hi all.. Im newbie with iphone.. Recently i already buy iphone 3gs from maxis.. The version is 4.3.3... Now i already upgrade to version 5.0.. My question.. Can i jailbreak my iphone now?is it got jailbreak for ios5?or i have to downgrade to version 4.3.3?hope masters here can answer it.. Really want to jailbreak it.. You can jailbreak iOS 5 using redsnow BUT it is a tethered jb. After that you can change it to a semi-tethered jb. For now on iOS 5.01 cannot be jb-ed. |

QUOTE(lieck @ Nov 11 2011, 09:39 AM) Thanks recorn.. It really help me to understand more about jailbreak.. I think i should wait for the untethered jb.. Which is safe for my iphone.. Right? It depends on personal preference. I am using IP4 with iOS 5 jb with redsnow. So far so good, can say I don't find any problems and iOS 5 is awesome. Just only the semi-tethered jb, but I see that iOS 5 improvements outweighs the troublesome boot up. |

Yeah go try again I managed to do it flawlessly. Tethered JB with redsnow then semi-tethered via cydia (bigboss)

Then it will be normal until the next respring Need help, I jb my ios5 few weeks ago, but today suddenly my cydia apps become plain white icon, there's several after the 1st semi tether icon become white |

People with iPhones are always waiting. We wait for iPhone launch, wait for ios release, wait for jailbreak release. Never once stopped waiting since I got the iPhone 4.

QUOTE(s3an_looi @ Nov 28 2011, 08:08 AM) After the untethered jailbreak then the wait is on Siri to be released to iPhone 4. By the way there is a new cydia app to allow Siri dictation. After that wait for iPhone 5 then it goes in a loop. |

QUOTE(s3an_looi @ Nov 28 2011, 08:26 PM) Yes... tethered. You need to check once in awhile whether the semi tethered is applied successfully. You can do this by opening the semi tethered app to check. If the semi tethered fails just fix it in the app option. I have semi tethered installed but when i reboot it still stays in apple logo until i boot tethered. so far so good... just make sure you have a portable battery pack or case to prevent any power outage. For me semi tethered works as it should. So rebooting will only lose jb apps and safari. |
