Do u all know why u play the game n getting stuck? is it b'coz of optic disc are not work efficiently? sometimes it's okay, then for a few day n stuck? why not stuck all the time? haha... clueless..  just want to understand how these machine work..

What games are you getting freezes? It might or might not be the game (some games are just so buggy that getting freezes frequently is normal), could be other reasons too.

Just tick these resolutions -

1080p
720p
480p (this is permanent)

Most games will automatically run in 720p, games which has support for 1080p will run in 1080p. There will be some instances where a game supports 1080p, but would play like crap on that resolution yet it still defaults to 1080p (GTA4 for example).
This is when you have to disable 1080p yourself manually and just run in 720p. It's stupid I know, blame Sony for not having an internal upscaler.

Thankfully, only a handfull of games does this.

Battlefield 3... haha.. firing inside heli, destroy building, SU35 attacking me with gun... the AT soldier run away, n then stuck... so much frustrated... haha...

I had same problems with my PS3 too. But the game was GT5.
Ended up replacing the HDD with 500GB and then cleaned the lens (DIY)...
Now it's working like new again....

If memory serves, around RM160.
I wanted to get SSD at first, but the price was too high for my budget.
Plus, I wasn't really sure if SATA 3 SSD would work on my PS3.

i got a 500GB hdd in june and now 120GB remains. playstation+ foc games and game demo/videos take up lots of space.

and about 10% of your hdd space is lost to ps3 formatting (not sure if correct term).

more and more new games are being released digitally on launch so recommend you to get 750GB or 1TB

Guys, after reading the 1st post, can i conclude that i just get a PS3 regardless of my set or sg set, plug into my samsung monitor and get any games from store/ebay and play?

any PS3 sets will do .. yes you can buy games at any store/ebay ( PS3 games are region free )  .. then play

which 1 is better? CECH30 better or CECH40 better?

and another thing, if i get 2nd hand used game like COD series, do i still able to play online?

for malaysia set, if i buy the console from 3rd party like game shop, also can claim warranty from sony malaysia?

you mean CECH-3000 series ( slim ) or CECH-4000 series ( super slim ) ? both good .. yea for PS3 malaysia set , you can buy it anywhere and claim warranty from sony malaysia .. no worries 

then how about those 2nd hand games? if the previous player used the game 2 play online, then he decided to sell it off, can i just buy his game and play online?
