BTW, those who wish to go Genting with their FLX, please use the SAT mode. D takleh harap.  grumble.gifgrumble.gif

why must use SAT mode for genting route? SAT mode is use to simulate 6-speed transmission feeling only, no different in performance hmm.gif
if use SAT mode, your rpm will keep raising to higher and lower and higher, this will result in higher FC (if i not mistaken) shakehead.gif

I guess use SAT for genting route is to keep the rpm at higher range,
as genting route is uphill slope, if use normal mode mayb it will keep maintain at lower rpm,
which will result lack of power n slower speed..

Better response. No direct performance affected, but the feel is different.

i found out that my rear seat cushion is quite loose and can easily taken out. Also i can see the gap at the centre after putting it back. Is it normal?

For those non-ABS/EBD ones, dont jam brakes, if auto, use low gear slowly go down.

manual use low gear. dont attack apex if not familiar

make sure brake pads are in tip top condition

tires must be good.

on that route, the transmission will just stay on mid rpm (around 3000~4000rpm), which is the part where peak torque is available. The S4PE's sweet spot is at 4,000 rpm. Stay on that sweet spot, not only your car could climb without any hassle, every single drop of fuel is utilized to produce the engine's peak power. The SAT software is quite intelligent as it will not shift up unnecessarily and hence, lesser power loss.

In D mode, it keeps on staying at 1,500-2,500 rpm and needs a great deal of throttle mashing in order to climb. Unless you intend to climb from Gohtong Jaya to the peak at speed below 20km/h, by all means just go ahead and stay at D.
