I don't understand what made you think that HTC and Sony could grab some market shares from Apple and Samsung. What advantage do they have? Cheaper? Or more innovative? Please enlighten me.   biggrin.gif

Maybe Macrusin thinking it is a preference thing - maybe more people will prefer HTC and Sony than Samsung or Apple?

IMO, the latest model usually will have one up over its competitors and they'll raise the bar in terms of functionality. But, I don't see existing phone owners will rush out to buy the competitor model just because of newer features. The upgrade cycle got shorter and shorter.. even for AAPL, hardly a 12 months, they're going to release a new model again to milk more money from their users.

For example, my two-year old phone (HTC Sensation) is working, can run all the apps fine, and I don't have need for bigger screen.
So, I'm not sure what new features would entice me to buy a new model. hmm.gif

What do you think? How often do you guys upgrade your phone?

Tele Market is profitable compare with other electronic devices at this moment.
Competitors are trying to enter this market to share a piece of cake.
Anyone of u bought Google Inc and keeping for long term?

The piece cake is getting smaller..with so many competitor. Tough to compete even for small players.
Not playing GOOG for long term (no way, not at this price).

Anyway, wash out AAPL again at 420s out of the gate.

Looks like AAPL may to see 410-411 this time. I'll wait a little while, maybe go short here instead for quick day trade. laugh.gif

LOL! We're all in the same boat. No that I'm lazy but I'm cheap.
I can't find the extra features in all the new phones (including Samsungs S4 air gestures or eyeball tracking) worth the upgrade.

Anyway, got my AAPL short exit target at 410 reached. Now, going long side play.. 410.80 for calls.
Going to hold stop at 410 here (risking 80c).

Again, this is just my quickie day trade, will exit at 415 level. laugh.gif

Yes, it is pretty substantial isn't it?
First it was AAPL, then Samsung, now HTC..

It won't be pretty for others as well.

A big reset switch huh? I think the mobile phone evolution is coming to the peak already.
Not sure what else they can think next to make it more revolutionary, to excite the consumers again.
A lot of hype on wearables - like watches or glasses or necklaces.. but could be distracting though - communication device like this. hmm.gif

Anyway, overnight, as usual AA reported their earnings, beating estimates (low expectation-lah) even with losses. rolleyes.gif

Solar stocks still on popping up after 3rd day.. YGE, TSL, JASO, FSLR and CSIQ as WTI Oil continues to remain above $100.
The crisis in middle east helps to fuel Oil play.

Anyone still playing NFLX ? P may be good alternative. Looks like a breakout. wink.gif

Wearable "computers" will be the next big hit in next few years. Gadget cannot stays, must evolved. And Apple stands a good chance of becoming "once again" a big winner on this one, just like its iphone used to be, similarly its ultrabook. By then, papers will start saying "Apple is back!", and then put a sky-high TP for it....maybe $1000 again. tongue.gif

Yes, I did. Sold half at 415. Sold all at 420. Now, waiting in cash again.
Not sure what's going to happen tomorrow. I think AAPL wants to break up to 425 and it does, I'll add and stay long,
otherwise it will retreat $5 and stop again...keep repeating this zig zag pattern until it breaks out.

Market may dip again with an excuse of high oil price that derails recovery.

Yup.. like I've mentioned, you can also see it.

AAPL likes to move in tandem of $5 move for short term.
Right now, you can kinda see this targets: 400, 405, 410, 415, 420, 425

Lower support side is 400, upper resistance side is 425. AAPL wants to break out from 425.

Be aware, I'm playing Options with AAPL. It has a different relative value than underlying price. wink.gif
