Waah.. AAPL really bipolar.  Went from bullish (+20) after earnings yesterday to bearish (-15) with tons on hopeless downgrades premarket. if can get to -20 pts at open, I will be able to exit with good profits.  Works both ways..  biggrin.gif

Yaah... they're pinning this to 400 as the DMZ area...like North Korea/South Korea 38th parallel.

I think maybe it won't go below 385 and go above 425 until after this Friday.
Maybe can short 385 puts and 425 calls to make money while waiting until Friday expiration. brows.gif

For long term investors, no need to do anything drastic at the moment.. just watch.

Looks like the bull wants to push it to green.... tongue.gif

I somehow feeling more bullish actually. Cook's decision to mark it as now a mature company (who pays good dividend with share buyback) is reasonable. It's better to be reasonable and as a common person than to be a stubborn common person (since Cook knows he's not Job, he's just ordinary). So Apple will no longer a legend as before, but still a brand that produced great (if not best) quality gadgets. This is good enough for a company to sustain. hmm.gif

The general market still bullish but not sure about AAPL.. seems it stagnant here.

AAPL now has accumulated 144bln in CASH so far.. sure they can sustain in profitability but the growth trajectory has slowed. The problem is because so many crazy people have unreasonably high expectation that AAPL is going to be like when it first launched the iPhone in 2007. Big wow factor back then...Now, they're disappointed.. that's why the stock price fell from the highs.
CEO T.Cook admits the outlook isn't as rosy, no new products until after 3rd quarter or so.. that's a sell signal but we still got some 'value' buyers stepping in at this level - which I think they will quickly give up this position, just like they gave up the $500 level.

He somehow turn apple from awesome company to ordinary.
Especially when focus more on cutting cost instead of how to retain the ability to charge at premium price at before. Simply lose the innovation and its soul.

Agree with you.

On the other hand, I do think Apple's "image" still exists. When thinking of Apple brand, the "quality" feel will come to my mind. Recent VW's iBeetle blows news on iCar again. And the first thought in my mind is, "that must be a cool looking quality car". My point is, I still have brand confidence on Apple, although not sure about others. So, I still see value on Apple stock. The growth slows down for sure, and I guess it will stay that way for some time. However, the value on the "Apple brand" may support its price in long run. Read from somewhere that it's now 15x/share in cash. If price reach 300, it will be 50% cash even before considering its reduce share base (buyback).

Now, i wish the bear can kick in fierce, so that I can pick it up at 300-320 range. drool.gif

Miners like FCX and TCK are bouncing back.. catching bids. As does gold.. but still way below the 1500 trap door when it fell thru.
Miner equip maker CAT also bounced off the lows..holding at $83.
Looks like China's commodity appetite is coming back. hmm.gif

Tech looking good too: GOOG, MSFT, AMZN, AAPL...

Not yet. But started to get excited. I wish the "sell in May and go away" sentiment can send Apple down to 300. tongue.gif

300-320 would be the classic technical H&S retracement from the top ..

If 300 that means AAPL completely lost all the 2011-2012 earnings.. all the sales of iPhones 4S and iPAD 3 as if nothing new has been created. But, I don't think big boys will let this happen and they will step up their machines to buy ahead of those numbers.

At 350-360, I think I'll see capitulation happen.

maybe I am too greedy. tongue.gif

btw, what is your comments on this year's May-June market? It's tricky since US economy seems to picking up more "believable" for many this year. Could this "sell in May" effect minimum this year? I was wondering. As China also seems continue recovering, as this may confirm the fact of its market has truely bottom. hmm.gif

Do you believe history repeats itself? If so, then May-June-July will just be like last year..and the year before.

Wallstreet traders call this the summer swoon, or maybe this is just a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The reality is because the volume dies down..Majority institutional traders pack up their bags (sell the risky, hold the winners) and go for holidays and left the machines on to trade by themselves. Skynet will be left in charge. Hackers may take another chance to feed Skynet with false news to take it down.. brows.gif

Anyway, let's watch for opportunity.. if happens, then some of those stocks that you like to own will be on sale, then grab 'em. smile.gif
