Dell is the one of the best when it comes to warranty support nod.gif
But then the current Dell XPS 15 is not very good (because of the relatively weaker GT540m)...
Perhaps you can consider:
Asus N55SF-SX265v, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT555M@RM3699[Bang & Olufsen]; USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer

Asus G53Sx-SZ039v, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GTX560M (2GB)@RM3999, backlit keyboard, gaming backpack & mouse *top up abit~

HP Dv6-6001TX, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6770@RM3499 [2.63kg]; Beats headphones
HP Dv6-6114TX, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6770 + BluRay@RM3799 [Beats][2.63kg], [4GB RAM] Beats headphones, HP optical mouse, HP 500GB external HDD

MSI GE620-DX, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT555M (2GB)@RM2999, 8GB RAM

There's already a lot of HP Dv6 users now and there's no problems with it nod.gif
Summore the HP Dv6 is better in terms of both price and performance if compared to the i7 variant of the N55Sf laugh.gif
Personally I think the i5 variant of the N55sf is better, mainly because of the HD+ matte screen laugh.gif

For me, I'd prefer i7 whenever possible. But then the price hike for the i7 N55sf is not worth it yo laugh.gif
Just stick to i5, gaming depends more on GPU anyway nod.gif

Pretty much Dell Inspirons:
Dell
Inspiron 15 (N5050), B950 + Intel HD3000@RM1659
Inspiron 15 (N5050), i3-2330M + Intel HD3000@RM1739
Inspiron 15R, i3-2330M + GT525M@RM1999

Though the normal Inspiron 15 doesn't have numpad I think XD

i5 is dual core, i7 is quad core lo hahaha XD
i7 is better in terms of multitasking but bring about no significant performance gain in terms of gaming performance for most games.
i7 is more powerful, thus hotter... and will reduce battery life

Hi ho people,

it's been a while, but the time has come for me to get another laptop! for the missus that is.

need recommendation on 11.5/12" out there. saw that there's not too many choices, but it would be great to hear some thoughts from owners/sellers regarding them. max budget at rm2k, and she'll be using it mainly for spreadsheet, surfing and watching movies

Am looking at Sony vpcyb15ag. looks pretty darn nice, and she seems to like the lime green too.

however, if need be i can convince her to go for the more typical black or silver, lol.

thanks in advance!

p/s: how sleek is that timeline 3830? looks nice

You can look at

Btw, make sure to format the external hard disk to eXFAT instead of NTFS and FAT32.
