According to xda forumer who suffers the same problem as yours. What he did is blew in the connector hole and solved it with that.........

and have a permanent solution by simply adding a small piece of rubber to the top middle inside of my "book cover" that force my tab in a slightly convex shape. This immediately remove any "oil spill" and preventing any to form at any normal operating temperature. When I use my tab without the "book cover" the required shape is maintained and "oil spills" does not form, permanently that is.

ah that explains it. cuz AFAIK no malaysian model has yet to have reported newton ring. our batch is the newer batch and they sorta solved it i think or reduced chances from having it.

from my experience on another device, onceu get the ring, no matter what u try, cellophane tape to separate the two layers etc, once u kena it;ll only get worse in time

im not sure how capacitive screens work since i used resistive the last time i had newton rings

basically resistive got 3 layers. 2 layers is in the LCD itself. 1 layer is the casing plastic protecting the LCD

so it depends which layer is sticking with which. if the protective outer casing is sticking with the LCD, then its a simple matter of disassembling your device, cleaning the inside case of moisture and reassembling it (tho it may not permanently solve the problem if the protective casing part is too flexible and bends easily)

if the layers sticking is the LCd itself there's no way to fix it AFAIK and u must replace. replacement LCD are expensive.

I read somewhere that ipad can claim tax exemption. But those tab what able to perform call cannot claim exemption like galaxy tab 3g 7". I not sure those income tax personnel can differentiate galaxy tab 10.1" that cannot make call with galaxy tab 3g 7".

I still prefer to iPad 2 for web and games over tab 10.1.

i used ipad 2 before but i never checked battery

but currently my 10.1 can last 4-5 days including gaming and browsing now and then. wifi on. push e mail

screen brightness and contrast the tab 10.1 fares better pixel density ipad2 better.

accessories? more or less even. tab 10.1 accessories u can buy from online delears a lot of choices like google sun-sky

weight can confidently say tab 10.1 easier to hold, hands down. ipad 2, if u lie on bed hold soon your wrists damn pain cuz of the material used to make the ipad2, its heavy. the tab is more plastic.

basically premium build feel = heavy hard to hold
cheaper build feel = uber light, easy to hold

so there's a trade off there for sure

I dunno how you define laggy. I am running stock old rom kg7, rooted with 1.4 ghz kernel. At stock speed i dont feel laggy and i even underclock it at 760mhz max ondemand and i am ok with it plus i got extra long battry life. Be sure dont use live wallpaper though with minimal background service

i used to buy a lot of games and apps in appstore. till i began to realise i buy and buy .....but actuslly in the end hardly play and use. what i mostly do is go cydia and theme my phone with widgets and such.

now im on android do i miss the apps/games? sure i do. but in reality also i will hardly use lol. and i think time to grow up also and game less lol

Added on October 16, 2011, 7:18 pmi use broodcomb + beautiful widgets + adw launcher silky smooth no lag. live wallpaper will be laggy. can make less lag but consumes more cpu = more battery

yours same like mine. I'm using 1.4GHz kernel, stock rom and setcpu. the set cpu runs automatically once you on the tab. i got antutu benchmark around 5800++, quadrant around 2800-2900

will this kernel drain more battery than normal ? or it drains more when playing games ?
