Anyone that did comparison with ipad 2? or have Ipad2 as well. I'm getting my first tab and still struggling between them! ... i'm an IOS user.

Curretnly not able to get wifi only SME set in msia. still waiting.. 1899 3g wifi is not affordable to me.

modern combat 2... still trying to find ways to work this out on tab 10.1... when i dload it last time, the control was out of portion and it design as if humans have 3 hands to play it... played nice on my iphone, but not on the tab 10.1... been googling for ways to solve this for 3 days...

in fact it is the most compared combination for this device

u need to try out urself as different ppl has different need...
some ppl say Ipad2 more smooth than tab but alot review say tab is smooth as ipad2...
for me, i already have iphone4 and i bored with its interface which lack of customization thus i go for tab..
second reason i go for tab is no need of home button....my iphone 4 home button already become not sensetive and some time not even function
can u imagine ur set is wear off in 1 year just because of the home button which function as exist application and several usage as well
after use it 3 weeks, i still happy buying tab as sometime it real not smooth and of cos u just restart the tab and all going back smooth

Go and get a feel of both.
ipad has a superior UI - very slick and smooth. I always say this UI is a deceiving point to user as it is only an illusion covering the poorer performance of the ipad against the Android tablet. Many users just get suck into the belief ipad is superior just because the UI is simply amazingly smooth
I have use the ipad for 8 months before I dump it for android tablet and I never regret it. And I have wrote openly in many threads why I find the ANdroid a better choice for me
Browsing, email content download, youtube - the ipad just fails poorly against even the 7 inch Tab ( these are my important needs)
iPad is great for gaming, plenty apps , watching videos - if these are important go for the ipad

One of the user was complaining about the Tab keypad laggy. I don't face any lag at all. And one of the main reason I dump the ipad was the keyboard - apple editing function on the keyboard is just decades behind. Cannot imagine such a powerful software strong company cannot even offer a proper editing for the keyboard. If you are a frequent typist and make errors often, you will curse at its editing features. I tested the ipad2 to assess any improvement - same , no improvement

Every tablet has its pro n cons. Decide on your needs of the tablet and see which gives you better solutions. Don't decide based on what other user say. Best talk to user who has used both. I have often been ask this question many times ( having use the ipad and all the iphone series and so many Androids ) - and I can honestly tell you , my answer has been about 50/50 both sides as different user has different needs. The ipad will meet 50% of them better while the other 50% I recommend the Android tablet

I chose Tab 10.1 over iPad2 mainly because of flash support... other bonuses from Tab 10.1 is the widescreen, better camera etc.

Although iOS is more stable (im currently using iPhone), but i think im in love with Honeycomb now

Thanks stevenlee, my choice on tab is about the same like u as i'm an iphone 4 user. Kind of bored of the restriction.. still waiting for the 16gb only samsung set. Heard should be coming in 2 weeks time. Finger crossed!

which telco's plan is good for this tab? normally when i'm at outside, mostly i do is heavy surfing the web and reading news, seldom download, seldom gaming... i'm thinking to subscribe 500mb plan... which telco offer a good plan for this?

comparing both i will use auto car and manual car as example..

if u like everything nicely done for u, u worry free just need to step oil then go for auto car (iOS), with auto gear transmission, auto braking etc..

but if u like full control of everything, u wanna handle yr car like a man, then go for manual (Android).. but don't complain yr car drive slowly and sluggish cz u dunno how to shift gear, and claim yr car is a shitty car.. no, yr car is not, u r the one who is being a shitty driver instead.. (just generalizing, no offense)

furthermore u can mod yr car gao gao to boost up the performance..

so, it all boils down to what type of driver are u..

for price wise, i notice umobile and digi are among the cheapest..

i stay around cheras, but i always went around cyberjaya and kl, quite a hard decision which provide better service, umobile does cover as much as digi in cyberjaya?

hi, i'm in dilemma here.
1. either to purchase Ipad 2 or Samsung 10.1. not try 10.1 because many of celcom outlet still don't have display model. which is better and easy to use?
2. how i want to copy pictures from lappy to tablet?
3. i already got internet on my phone, so if i just use the same sim card on the tablet, can it still functioning or need to subscribe new internet plan (either ipad or 10.1)
4. can 10.1 use external memory such as micro SD or others?

answer no. 2 and no.4 only for samsung 10.1 right? how about for Ipad2, if buy USB adapter then put pendrive on it, can it read or not?

1. both equally easy use when u familiar with thier OS
2. copy file from lappy to tab or from tab to lappy, i will say galaxy tab done far better and easy compare to ios....u just plug in ur usb and u are able to search any file in ur galaxy tab without additional software need to install
3. is ur sim card is micro then u need get normal size sim card only ...
4. external memory yes, u need to buy usb plug to attach with ur galaxy tab in order to use other storage.
