N3DS is region-locked and most unfortunately MH3 G is very unlikely to be released outside of Japan. If Capcom is making wise marketing decision,they would have localized MHp3rd already and MH3G should have been ported to PSP instead.4.4 million copies sold doesnt lie. You'd better be begging anf praying that Capcom will decides to localize MH3 G otherweise you will have to buy a Japanese N3DS just to play it.And MH 4 isnt gonna come out anytime soon. |

Hiroshi Kawano of Sony has said that “at present, there is no talk of a new Monster Hunter coming to PlayStation,” which makes it sound like Monster Hunter 4 may be an exclusive title for the 3DS. It could simply be something Capcom isn’t working on right away, but it’s still a hopeful sign.

More mhp3rd monsters will be joining the cast in 3G including Zinogre, the poster boy for P3rd. An alternate color of Lagiacrus will also appear in the game. A kid called Kayanba from a tribe with strange masks can follow Chacha around and you can give some commands to Kayanba. |

there's is a few region i know of NTSC/US - America (Game playable NTSC/US) ASI - Asia (Game playable NTSC/US) NTSC/J - Japan (Game playable NTSC/J) PAL - Europe/UK/NZ/AUS (Game playable PAL) Pretty much Asia means U.A.E, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Singapore. Which is distribute by MAXSOFT. This fall Monster Hunter Tri G is only release in NTSC/J hence only a Japanese 3DS will work Fall 2012 is only so far announced by EU, hence a PAL 3DS will work only. On the bright side,we might see US MHtri G release in the next spring or early summer 2012.Since US release usually comes month earlier than EU.
I wonder which version of N3ds HK,Korea,China is using.(JP/ASI??) Because MH is also really big there,i really have my fingers crossed for outside of japan just like MHp3rd |

the MH3G bundles too expensive around RM14++ ( 3DS and Game only)

Bahh. Have to wait until Tuesday to get the game since I ordered the Slide Pad Pack from Rakuten Ichiba but I got 20% discount from there.

in the first video of the series, details shown at the Quest screen says it's a Lv8 quest. condition is to be minimum HR7 to take the quest.

A shop at Time Square is selling the bundle at 1450 but im not sure there still any stock remaining....I will probably buy when they also import RE:revelation(JPN) so i wouldnt be stuck with just one 3DS game....
What im screaming and want to know is when will the price of the bundle drop?? |

if you are not a collector ... why MUST it be the bundle that you are buying? (i'm assuming you are finding it severely overpriced)
it's just a Ice White 3DS slapped with a MH decal-like emblem on top cover isn't it ? have you enquire with sellers like Playzone (stevechan360) to see if they still have the normal JP 3DS and MH3G game only ? just curious, how sure are you that the so called 2nd revision will be "better" ? specs? price? and how certain are you that you won't then feel the need to wait for a 3rd revision ...
opportunity is also a "cost" and being able to play wat you WILL and WANT to play trumps all. if you buy a JP 3DS now and will play this game (and also subsequent games u like) for over 200hrs ... isn't that better than just thinking about a so called more superior hardware, etc, etc which u MAY be able to buy later but yet MAY use much less due to not having the game u want on it ? reminds me of the Intel CPU marketing and current smartphone trends over and over ... these mentalities... just my honest personal opinion. hope no offense taken. i seldom encourage ppl to not think lol ... it's more like understand what you will do and want to do with the things u buy rather than "purely thinking" about buying something which has "everything in it" for the sake of value and "just in case i may use it" factors.

the game's overall presentation/gfx from this off-screen footage video seems to be alright.

So apparently there's a new Feral Wyvern Virus which is mentioned in an interview video that can infect hunters and cause some negative effects. The only way to get rid of the Virus effect is to repeatedly attack the infected monster until the virus runs out. If you do manage to get rid of it, your stats will be temporarily boosted. The virus also affects boss monsters in a different way where when you've defeated it, it gets reanimated and turn purple-ish.

Though there's the option of getting 3DS version this March, play single player for a few months / half a year to get into higher level.. then get urself a Wii U and transfer over the save games to bring it online so that you can enjoy the end game content with friends which is where the online experience best at anyways.. then u can always resume the lvling on ur 3ds when ur away on a trip or something.. its a pretty good concept but requires 2 copies of the game. Just tried the demo.. beaten the easy one a couple of times without too much difficulty despite being a total newbie of the series..
My early impression contains both good and bad points.. The control is kinda awkward without 2nd analog stick tbh.. its hard to look around with the dpad when ur left hand is busy controlling the movement.. think it would work better if the camera rotation is mapped to L n R buttons and use dpad for equip/unequip weapon & item usage.. circle pad pro is probably a must if ur buying this game.. However, the graphic looks gd and has decent depth in 3D.. olus the environment and monster texture are beautiful.. i like it how we need to play intelligently instead of blindly hack n slash the mob without doing any thinking.. u need to understand their attack patterns and try ur best to dodge them.. only charge when there's opening .. u could even tell that the monster gets weaker n slower when their hp is low.. I tried sword & shield, great sword & long sword.. so far i like great sword the best.. gonna try the other weapons later tonight.. |

so far I liked the demo, new to MH. Played a little bit MHF on psp before.
Beat lagombi with dual blades and switch axe... but that fish dino dragon thing is stupidly annoying.. love battle that thing underwater but when on land starting getting annoying.. |

I tried the demo on 3DS and I like the framerates of the game..It can achieve like 40 - 50fps without any major slowdowns with 3D on..

you can customize the placing of the arrow pad on your 3DS screen - bear in mind the demo doesn't allow you to customize the bottom screen but in the actual game you can. you can even enlarge/resize the arrow pad to your liking.
also, a circle pad pro will fix all your woes. |

i will get both versions but most likely multiplayer will be thru Wii U. the 3DS is when i want it fully portable eg. travelling for work, lazy switch on console/tv/ac adapters, etc.

our save files can be played between a 3DS and Wii U - has to be same region of course. the news is just letting us know that while we're on US Wii U console, we can still play with EU players, and vice versa.

I personally prefer the PSP one, with the thicker body for a better grip. Maybe with the Circle Pad Pro it will be better with the grooved grips. I tested the demo on the 3DS XL. This is why I never got into Monster Hunter on PSP... It needs the dual analog stick.
Tried the 3G demo yesterday and the camera is terrible without the CPP. Guess i'll be getting the CPP today |

I still can't decide whether I'm getting it on Day 1 or not, there's just too many games to buy/play this month, so I need to choose carefully. Crazy March lol.
So help me out here will ya ? - I'm not getting a Wii U anytime soon - wont be having any real life fren with 3ds to mutiplayer locally with neither - don't have and won't be buying cpp.. at least not for now - i play a lot of mmorpg and i love them to bits, but i'd imagine it would be boring as hell if i were to play a mmorpg game in single player mode - similarly, monster hunter is about getting loots and stuff instead of having epic story right? - since its similar to mmorpg in some ways, if i can't bring it online to show my loots n hardwork to my friends, why would it be so addicting in the first place? not saying this is a bad game, i just wanna understand why this game supposedly gives ppl 1000+ of playtime  This post has been edited by fizyboy: Mar 7 2013, 10:38 AM |

I know its not an mmorpg, i just want to know whether the game can be enjoyed entirely in single player mode. if its some sort of open game like harvest moon or animal crossing i would understand, but if its just mission after mission won't we get boring after awhile? what exactly that will keep us coming back for more?

MH is either hit or miss with most ppl. Everyone reason playing MH are different. For me, I love the difficult challenge to slay/conquer monster. A bit similar to Demon/Dark soul game.
I just bought a 3DS XL just because of Monster Hunter Ultimate. I use PSP just to play MH, now KO already, so next stop 3DS. Now can't wait MH Ultimate to release. |

this is a game unlike any other games. you are playing the missions over and over again not only for loot, but to perfect your skills. you may be trying to position yourself correctly to slice rathalos' tail as he is hovering over cha-cha. you may be timing your rolls perfectly to escape joe's nasty breath. or you may be doing a 3rd level gs charge standing behind rathian, and have it land on her sensitive head the moment she starts turning around.

I've been trying to get this information, but so far can't find it.
Back in the PSP days of monster hunting, sometimes when playing multiplayer, the "small monsters" will be in different places for different people. So sometimes, you'll see your partner swinging wildly in the air, but when you look at their screen, they're actually fighting a small monster. Is this still the same for the 3DS version? It's quite an annoying issue to me. Thanks |

Last played Monster Hunter Portable 3rd in 2010. Not that much difference in Ultimate, but still something refreshing. |

yea. it took about 18hrs to download and 1hr to install.

just plug in. my adapter the errr, male part is three pin plug (which can plug in to most malaysian power outlets) and the female part is US (so that can plug in nintendo adapter).

MH noob here, how do exactly we capture a monster, are there any certain item or the capture action option just available at certain time. in my case i want to capture arzuros

Has anyone tried and see if you can cross server regions with the Packet Relay Tool (PRT)? Like for example using a US Wii U with PRT and connect to the US servers with MH3G(Japan) 3DS and vice versa.
