an "announcement" trailer of Monster Hunter 4 (yes, FOUR!) has just been shown to the crowd at the end of the Nintendo 3DS Conference

not sure if it's part of gameplay but the video made it look like Uncharted with MH world and elements LOL

i don't think this matters but anyway Famitsu just reviewed it and gave it 10/10/9/9 - 38/40

in the first video of the series, details shown at the Quest screen says it's a Lv8 quest. condition is to be minimum HR7 to take the quest.

so i guess it's like an Urgent Quest ?

if you are not a collector ... why MUST it be the bundle that you are buying? (i'm assuming you are finding it severely overpriced)

it's just a Ice White 3DS slapped with a MH decal-like emblem on top cover isn't it ?

have you enquire with sellers like Playzone (stevechan360) to see if they still have the normal JP 3DS and MH3G game only ?

hmm ... if really like that ... don't know how you can avoid the super overpricing of KL/PJ game shops already

i ordered mine through Playzone (stevechan360).

just curious, how sure are you that the so called 2nd revision will be "better" ? specs? price? and how certain are you that you won't then feel the need to wait for a 3rd revision ...

opportunity is also a "cost" and being able to play wat you WILL and WANT to play trumps all.

if you buy a JP 3DS now and will play this game (and also subsequent games u like) for over 200hrs ... isn't that better than just thinking about a so called more superior hardware, etc, etc which u MAY be able to buy later but yet MAY use much less due to not having the game u want on it ?


reminds me of the Intel CPU marketing and current smartphone trends over and over ... these mentalities...

i seldom encourage ppl to not think lol ... it's more like understand what you will do and want to do with the things u buy rather than "purely thinking" about buying something which has "everything in it" for the sake of value and "just in case i may use it" factors.

of course i'm assuming price is not a major problem factor here in the argument.

the game's overall presentation/gfx from this off-screen footage video seems to be alright.



as long as constant good framerate and gameplay intact (what more with online support now) this is excellent news from Capcom!

around 9:10 mark - new weapon, new attacks

small snippet of info about Monster Hunter Ultimate/3G HD version

- launches on Wii U in Japan on Dec. 8th
- full 1080p display
- 5.1 LPCM surround sound
- GamePad display based on the 3DS display
- reconfirmed info: local play with up to three 3DS', online in Wii U version, free eShop app will handle moving save data between the two

To debunk the common "myth" that this game can never be controlled as well on 3DS here's an image of the feature that Capcom built for us



may not be so obvious in screenshot but I prefer and made the right d-pad slightly narrower in size and moved it all the way to right of touchscreen area. Also u have the monster lock on button

i will get both versions but most likely multiplayer will be thru Wii U. the 3DS is when i want it fully portable eg. travelling for work, lazy switch on console/tv/ac adapters, etc.

6-7am nyxnyx already (or still) have MH3U session running on console ...

yea. it took about 18hrs to download and 1hr to install.

btw, i never thought i could be such a newbie at a game till i got on cart after being hit by aptonohs LOL

and at the very beginning "tutorial" phase too....
