never encountered this before on my previous Kies connection, until recently my win vista (yea, it sucks i know going to win7 soon zzzz) decide not to recognize it anymore. i would suggest doing a clean reinstallation of Kies.

Just found out something..

I'm trying to stream HD movie from PC and play in SGS II..

I'm using ES File Explorer + Mobo player..

If I play a HD movie more than 4GB, it wont have sound but its smooth..

If I play a HD movie less than 4GB, it will have sound and its smooth..

Do anyone got experience about this? although its sound unnecessary, but just want to know how our SGS II capability..

even when i plug in the usb cable, during the MTP application, the usb connection keep on initializing and connecting when i'm trying to go into the sgs2 folder. is it same like u're situation? i wanna update my sgs2 but dunno how when it keep disconnecting. sigh.

when power off the sgs2 then after few sec isit will vibrate ? why my sgs2 wont 1. isit normal?my vibrate is working 1.

im new to SGS2 phone. just got it a week ago. Just wondering will this work for any version of the phone?

my will be:
Android version:2.3.3 (should i root my phone before i can update to 2.3.4??)
PDA: I9100DXKF1
PHONE:I9100DXKF1
CSC:I9100OLBKE5

and what does it means by these numbers and how do i know my version number?? KF1 KF2 KF3, KE1 KE2...etc.

i read that we need to download the correct version base on our phone version. like for my case i should search for version with KF1 and KE5?

for those updated to KH2, do u notice GPS locking now is very slow?

no u dun haf to root ur phone to update to 2.3.4..
if u r updating 2.3.4 firmware from other region.. u can just download from samsfirmware and flash it.. any ver. will do..
u need to find the correct ver. only if u r flashing insecure kernel.. maybe to root ur phone.. den u hav to see ur kernel ver. and find a compatible or one that is near to it..

When fully off it should vibrate once. Did you do any tweaks/flashing stuff on your phone?

Was playing Contract Killer on my SGS2 yesterday and was shocked at how hot it became after a while (less than a hour). Not merely warm, but hot, though not hot enough to scald.

Is that normal? I'm now worried that using a casing may not be the best thing for a SGS2...perhaps it needs to go au' naturel to stay safely cool?

I've just got my SGS2 for two days. Will be retiring my CSL MI300 soon. ;-)
I wanted to monitor/optimize battery usage, read page 1 and other info.
I finally figured out that I needed these two apps/widget ...
(1) Battery Monitor Widget (free with ads, RM13 for Pro version without ads) --> this provides battery percentage, current mA usage with graphs.
(2) BetterBatteryStats XDA version (free for XDA registered user, RM9 on Android Market to support developer) --> this provides further tools to find apps consuming power
... did I get that right?

yep those 2 are my main monitors too. You can also try android assistant
