QUOTE(SnoopyDevil @ Sep 4 2011, 11:36 AM) never encountered this before on my previous Kies connection, until recently my win vista (yea, it sucks i know going to win7 soon zzzz) decide not to recognize it anymore. i would suggest doing a clean reinstallation of Kies. even when i plug in the usb cable, during the MTP application, the usb connection keep on initializing and connecting when i'm trying to go into the sgs2 folder. is it same like u're situation? i wanna update my sgs2 but dunno how when it keep disconnecting. sigh.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 7 2011, 01:00 PM) first thing you should do is factory reset it. do not install any apps. observe n monitor. if it happens send in to claim - motherboard issue if it does not, reinstall your apps and if you have ben installing those 3rd part ahem apps don't install it. observe n monitor last install those naughty apps and use sherlock holmes technique - deduce n eliminate which are the apps giving you such problem what is your original rom ? Still stock as most Msian sets are officially KH1 original rom? u mean my original firmware version? it's KF1. i havent root my phone yet. so i can't do titanium backup which requires root. so is there any backup i can use before factory reset? i can't use kies to backup cause the mtp application keep on initializing and connect when i go into my phone folder.

[quote=benny888,Sep 7 2011, 02:46 PM] Since not rooted use mybackuppro to backup your 3rd party apps only. All data associated with the apps cannot be backup unless phone is rooted This app also backup your contact, calendar, sms etc There are 2 backup options
ic, k thanks. btw, since i need to wipe my phone, so will rooting it do the same thing as factory reset?

hmm, sorry. i did read the first page already but still don't really understand something. if i flash my firmware using odin to the latest firmware, and that latest firmware is from other country, will it still support chinese word in messaging? and the latest official firmware to flash is it DXKH2? but why is it still 2.3.3? not 2.3.4 at that xda website? thanks.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 8 2011, 10:26 AM) Most Europe based roms do not have built in Chinese language input support You can download from Market free app Google PinYin for Chinese input Download and flash Hong Kong roms ( can get at XDA thread by intratech) for Chinese language support. Do NOT use the China based roms as many users has reported failure flashing it DXKH2 is Msian latest rom ; it has built in Chinese language. It is still at 2.3.3 . WHY ? I'd say only Samsung know why only 2.3.3 is release not 2.3.4 i see. ok. thanks. besides, XXKH3 from the xda thread is from europe. if i flash to that rom and install google pinyin, other apps will also support chinese reading too right? cause i dunno which is hong kong roms. oh besides, the difference between official and frankstein firmware are we can update official through kies/odin but frankstein through odin only right? But my advise is it is better to wipe clean ( hard reset ) so you start with a new plate , again is optional. quoted from first page.
so i need to hard reset my phone first? or factory reset will do since i just factory reset my phone yesterday.lol.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 8 2011, 02:18 PM) What I mean if you read my tips you will not be using superoneclick which is dependent on your windows files. I recommended either supercutio for root of just flash litening for everythingi stated this very clearly oh. ok. cause i'm still quite blur about all those thing. XD. now i figure it out why already. superoneclick 2.1.1 is still bugged but 1.7 did the job well. XD. thanks alot!

hmm, is it safe to just disconnect the usb cable while the mtp application is connected? cause after i updated to XXKH3, there isn't any "press the home button to quit kies" option. thanks!
